This week's Fortnite update has been delayed without any official announcement from Epic Games. Fortnite still gets updates constantly on all of the platforms it's available on. It's an active online battle royale with a seasonal Battle Pass, so it's regularly getting maintenance patches as well as new content updates to keep it fresh and fun for its players. The Fortnite community found it odd when they noticed that Epic Games hadn't announced any updates for this Tuesday. It was particularly disappointing since the last content update was nearly a month ago for the Winterfest event. Fans have been craving and asking for new content for a couple of weeks now, and they were expecting to log in today and see all the exciting additions to the game. On top of that, the recent Fortnite leaks and rumors had the community wondering if any long-awaited skins would be confirmed with the update.RELATED: Fortnite Nerfs Shockwave Hammer, Leaves Fans Divided Unfortunately, it seems that this week's update was delayed, and it is unknown when it will drop. Epic Games hasn't commented on the situation nor made any announcements. There are several indicators that big things could be coming in the next update, and that might just be why there's a delay. Fortnite's Creative Mode Documentation page has been getting a lot of updates recently, and iFireMonkey, a known Fortnite leaker, has pointed out that a new item called the "Falcon Scout" has been mentioned in the Oathbound Chests section of the file.

It's still not been announced when the update will be released, but it could be Wednesday. Not too long ago, concert plans for the next live event leaked, and it's believed that Fortnite will collaborate with the Kid LAROI. On Tuesday, the artist tweeted a picture with the caption "Watch tomorrow:)", indicating an announcement. Fans expect this to be what confirms the collab with Fortnite.

The in-game countdown for the next Oathbound Quests phase also goes live Wednesday. Epic Games could be waiting in order to add the Falcon Scout item so that it can include it in these quests, and this way it could also promote the in-game concert after the update has been released. The change of dates could be a way to prevent leakers from spoiling the surprise, or it could be an actual delay to fix last-minute glitches and bugs before its release.

Fortnite is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
