On Twitter, Epic Games teased the return of Midas in Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 2. Midas has become something of an icon within the battle royale, receiving a wide variety of outfits and edit styles. He often has the ability to turn his weapons into gold without the use of a skin, which is fairly unique within the game. He typically sports a clean-cut look, though this version of Midas is notably different. From what can be seen, the character has longer hair and darker clothing, giving him a more rugged style than usual. Many fans expect that he will be part of the next battle pass, though that remains to be seen.

The big banana has been a longstanding mascot for the battle royale and has received numerous skins over the years. Gamers have also been discussing which crossovers may come to the game next, as leakers have said to expect collaborations with King of the Hill and Like a Dragon in Fortnite soon.
