Summary
- Fortnite OG brings back the Chapter 1 map, fulfilling fans' hopes for its comeback after years of anticipation.
- The upcoming Battle Pass for the Fortnite OG season will have half the usual number of rewards, but players can still access Bonus Rewards.
- While it won't be considered a full new season, Fortnite OG will be a separate time-limited event with some gameplay mechanics resembling Chapter 1.
Fortnite's upcoming season will be completely different, and it appears that the Battle Pass will also be greatly modified. It is time for fans to say goodbye to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 and welcome back the Chapter 1 map for the release of the Fortnite OG season. It has been years since the original Fortnite was replaced, and ever since it happened, fans have been hoping that it would eventually make a comeback, and it seems that the time has finally come.
On November 3, players can expect the land back on the first Fortnite island, Athena. When UEFN, also known as Creative 2.0, launched in March, the OG island was one of the first fan creations to be released, and it was a success among the Fortnite community. For a lot of Fortnite fans, there is a lot of nostalgia surrounding Chapter 1.
Fortnite Teases Return of Two OG Vehicles
Fortnite mentions two OG vehicles, indicating that they might just come back once the Battle Royale goes back in time to Chapter 1.
Many fans are delighted to know that they'll be able to play on the Athena island again with some long-vaulted Fortnite mechanics and items. However, leaks indicate that there will be some significant changes made to a usually untouched element of the game. According to reliable leaker iFireMonkey, next season's Fortnite Battle Pass will be completely different, and it will have at least half the usual number of rewards.
If the leaks turn out to be true, this won't actually be considered a new Fortnite season. It will be a separate time-limited event called Fortnite OG. The Fortnite OG pass will only consist of 50 rewards instead of 100, and there will be no bonus skin. Thankfully, the Bonus Rewards tab will still be available, meaning gamers will be able to unlock additional styles for the Battle Pass skins.
Some gamers expected the Tiers system to return since it was the norm back in Chapter 1. Players would increase gain tiers by completing Weekly and Daily quests and leveling up their Fortnite account. Nowadays, players have to increase their season level by getting more XP, and each time they level up, they earn more Battle Stars, which can be spent freely on the Battle Pass. The leaks suggest that the OG pass will continue to use the current Battle Stars system first implemented back in Chapter 2 Season 7.
