A popular Fortnite leaker has claimed that more characters from The Walking Dead could be making their way to the popular battle royale in the near future. Fortnite recently released Season 3 of Fortnite OG, a throwback game mode that gives gamers the opportunity to experience what the title was like in its early days.

There is a long history of The Walking Dead collaborating with Fortnite, as Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne are already in the game. With such a large cast of characters to pull from, many fans have been eager to see more skins from the franchise come to the title. According to rumors floating around the internet, these gamers may be about to get their wish.

In a recent post on Twitter, the prominent leaker HYPEX shared that another set of cosmetics from The Walking Dead could be coming to Fortnite. It's rumored that one of the skins might be based on Negan, as he is a main character in The Walking Dead: Dead City, which is scheduled to debut its second season on May 4, 2025. The idea that Negan could be on his way to Fortnite has gained a lot of traction, as dataminers also claim to have found evidence that his signature weapon, a baseball bat named Lucille, may be coming to the game as a mythic item.

Many people also seem to believe that Maggie, another main character from The Walking Dead: Dead City, would be a perfect fit for the island. Some fans are wondering if these rumored cosmetics could be coming to the game as a larger event or if they'll simply appear within the Item Shop like so many other collaborations. During a previous crossover, portals linked the Fortnite and The Walking Dead universes together for a limited time.

In the past, The Walking Dead cosmetics have been associated with Fortnite's annual Fortnitemares event. However, with October being so far away, it's likely fans could see a new batch of skins arrive long before the Halloween-themed celebration. As with all leaks, this information should be taken with a grain of salt until there's an official announcement from Epic Games. While many rumors do end up being real, information is always subject to change based on the plans of the developer. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of the popular battle royale.
