Although plenty of information has leaked about its content, fans are still looking forward to seeing the array of new twists the game will introduce.

After much speculation around a heist-themed season leading up to its reveal, Fortnite's upcoming Lawless season looms. Leaker FNBRintel shared details about the new Mortal Kombat Mythics coming to Fortnite next season. In Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 6 Season 2: Lawless, players will reportedly have access to Scorpion's Spear Hook and Sub-Zero's Ice Gauntlets. Both of these items will likely deal massive damage in a short amount of time, allowing skilled players to gain the upper hand quickly.

Additionally, when players use Scorpion's Spear Hook and make contact with an enemy, the Mythic will play the Scorpion's iconic "Get over here" voice line from the Mortal Kombat games. It appears this season is taking the opportunity to go all out with the Fortnite x Mortal Kombat collab. It's known that Sub-Zero and Scorpion will feature in varying capacities, with Sub-Zero front-and-center in the Battle Pass, but there's always a chance crossover NPCs could show up too. FNBRIntel shared more about this event, stating that in addition to Sub-Zero being in the Battle Pass and Scorpion coming as a standalone skin later in the Season, each character will have two Mythics.

Giving players various Mortal Kombat-themed offensive options could also imply that there will be crossover-related POIs to find these weapons. In some of the recent Marvel-themed seasons of Fortnite, players could find such items through random chests and via Mobile Armory drops, incentivizing players to brawl over powerful crossover items.
