The Lantern Fest is one of the celebrations that take place in Fortnite every year. As usual, there are quests for players to complete and themed rewards to unlock. Besides the quests that tend to come out around this time of year, there is an exclusive game mode that will only be available during a portion of the event, and a skin that players can obtain for free towards the end.

What to Expect From the Lantern Fest Event in 2026
The Lantern Fest brings fun activities that'll keep Fortnite players entertained for the next couple of weeks. To kick off the event, players can enjoy an exclusive 8-player team mode in Reload. While the game mode is live, they have the opportunity to complete Lantern Fest Quests and earn free rewards
Lantern Fest Quests & Rewards
While in Fortnite Reload, gamers will be able to complete the following quests:
- Eliminate players (45)
- Damage players with SMGs or pistols (450)
- Damage players with assault rifles or shotguns (500)
- Emote near a teammate (2)
- Damage players beyond 15 metes (500)
- Land at named locations in different matches (5)
- Build or destroy structures (45)
- Earn a Victory Royale (1)
- Crack players' shields (15)
- Restore health or gain shields (250)
These quests are sort of like Milestone Quests - they can be easily completed simply by playing the game. For each quest that players finish, they will receive 10,000 XP as a reward for their efforts. In total, there are 10 quests, which means they can earn up to 100,000 XP.
There are also bonus goals rewards; players will unlock the Bring It! Spray once they've completed three Lantern Fest Quests, and they will receive the Love the Game emoticon as a reward for completing 8 quests. These quests and its rewards will be available until February 25 at 9 AM ET.
Lantern Fest Cosmetics
The Radiant Moon bundle is returning to the Item Shop on February 18, and d7boor's locker bundle will make an appearance on February 23.
Lastly, players can participate in the Lantern Fest Cup, a Reload game mode tournament, for a chance to win the Aaliyah skin, this year's Lantern Fest skin, for free. The Lantern Fest Cup will take place on March 3, and the Aaliyah skin will be available in the Item Shop after this.
