A recent leak related to Fortnite has revealed an upcoming collaboration reportedly coming to the game in the near future, crossing over with the popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen. Throughout the history of Epic Games' mega-popular battle royale, the game has featured crossovers with a wide variety of popular media properties from anime to superhero movies. The shooter has brought plenty of beloved characters like Goku, Naruto, and Iron Man into its chaotic action, featuring unique cosmetics and even in-game weapons. Now, a new leak is teasing the next anime to appear within the battle royale.
Fortnite recently welcomed another collaboration into the shooter with its most recent update, coinciding with the return of a fan-favorite animated series. Last week, Fortnite officially revealed a crossover with the animated series Futurama, coinciding with the show's revival on Hulu and the airing of new episodes. The show's main trio of Fry, Leela, and Bender would all be added to the game as skins, alongside multiple cosmetics inspired by the show and an exclusive weapon in Bender's Shiny Metal Raygun. Now, Jujutsu Kaisen is reportedly set to be the next anime crossover within Fortnite.
A recent datamine from Fortnite posted by popular leaker BarbieharpFN has revealed a trio of skins coming to Fortnite based on Jujutsu Kaisen. According to the leak, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushigoro, and Satoru Gojo will all be receiving their own in-game skins as part of the crossover. The leak would also tease new pickaxes and back blings based on the beloved anime, following the debut of Jujutsu Kaisen's second season earlier this month. No release date was given for the collab, however, the existence of in-game files suggests it will launch within the coming weeks.
An upcoming collaboration with Jujutsu Kaisen would come as Fortnite has featured plenty of exclusive gameplay perks with its crossovers. The My Hero Academia collaboration last year brought with it Deku's iconic "Smash" attack from the anime, giving players access to the game-changing ability. Dragon Ball Z collaborations have also brought a uniquely powerful ability with them, adding in the Kamehameha as a Mythic weapon that players may be able to find in battles. However, no special weapons or abilities from Jujutsu Kaisen were confirmed with the leak.
Fortnite's collaborations have become one of the most recognizable parts of the game, continuing to push its limits with its partnerships with popular brands. Popular rapper Travis Scott has partnered with Epic Games multiple times to appear within the game, even holding a virtual concert within Fortnite. Leaks and rumors have also hinted at several major upcoming gaming collaborations with franchises like The Elder Scrolls and World of Warcraft. Fortnite's Jujutsu Kaisen skins will serve as the most recent example of the battle royale's widespread reach.
Fortnite is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
