Fortnite has lovingly recreated Springfield Island as a Battle Royale experience, bringing The Simpsons and their loveable town into the game for all players to enjoy. However, it's not just filled with deep-cut references and wacky skins, as players can actually get a brand new Mythic available only in the Fortnite Simpsons season of Chapter 6 Mini-Season 2. Players can find and pick up Jebediah's Protective Helm, the cut-off head from the statue of Springfield's founder, Jebediah Springfield. If you want to know how to knock the Jebediah Springfield statue's head off in Fortnite Simpsons, or you simply want to know what this Mythic does, then look below!
How to Get Jebediah's Protective Helm in Fortnite
How to Knock the Jebediah Springfield Statue's Head Off
In the center of Springfield Town Square, players will be able to find the statue of Jebediah Springfield. If players shoot or pickaxe the statue's head a few times, it will fall to the ground. From here, you can pick up the item and place it within your inventory, which will have your character automatically equip it as a helmet, even when it's not in your actively used slot within your loadout.
What Does Jebediah's Protective Helm Do in Fortnite?
Players can use Jebediah's Protective Helm as an item in their loadout, which, once acquired, will automatically be applied to their head. J ebediah's Protective Helm will block the first headshot that the player takes, meaning that if you are shot in the head, Jebediah's Protective Helm will negate the damage, but it will fly off your head once shot. There is a short delay before you can pick the item back up again, but it's useful for carrying around if you're scared about getting shot in the head by a powerful weapon. Some players might not want to equip this item, as it will take a valuable spot in their loadout just to halt one headshot before it's rendered useless (until it is picked up again).
Wearing Jebediah's Protective Helm has the same effect as a Medallion, meaning your location is exposed on the map.
