Iron Spider Release Date in Fortnite

An incredible roster of Marvel characters is set to debut on the Fortnite island thanks to Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom, which already brings icons from the pages of Marvel comics into the famed Battle Royale thanks to the Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass. Now debuting in the Item Shop is none other than the wall-crawling Spider-Man, this time with a shiny paint job on a brand-new paint of armor.

Players can now grab yet another Spider-Man skin in Fortnite, joining the plethora of spider-based characters already in the game. This variant of Spider-Man features the classic design and color scheme of Spider-Man's stint as Iron Spider, a suit of armor created for the web-head specifically by Iron Man during the Civil War comic storyline, and this outfit's debut means players no longer have to ask when is Iron Spider coming to Fortnite, but instead, how much he costs.

How to Get the Iron Spider Outfit

As of August 23, 8 PM ET, players can purchase the Iron Spider from the Fortnite Item Shop. Players can purchase the Iron Spider as part of a bundle, and all without the requirement of in-game access thanks to the new web browser access to Fortnite Shop. If players want to grab the Iron Spider outfit, then they are going to need 2,000 V-Bucks, but they can grab the 7-item Iron Spider Bundle for 2,600 V-Bucks, which purchased separately, would set them back at 4,000 V-Bucks.

If players purchase the Iron Spider Bundle for 2,600 V-Bucks, they will be given the following cosmetics:

Players have until September 2, 8 PM ET to purchase the Iron Spider cosmetics, as that's the date for when he will rotate out of the Item Shop. Whilst it's likely that this Peter Parker Spider-Man will return at a later date, collabs can always be unpredictable with how often they return.

All Iron Spider Cosmetics

Players can purchase the Iron Spider Outfit separately to other cosmetics for a price of 2,000 V-Bucks. Purchasing the Iron Spider Outfit will see players not only unlock the Iron Spider skin alongside a masked and unmasked style, but they will also receive a LEGO Style for LEGO Fortnite, along with the Iron Spider Gauntlets as a Pickaxe, the Arachno-Jets as a Glider, and the Arachno-Arms as a Back Bling. That's 5 items just for 2,000 V-Bucks, and considering it's Spider-Man, that's a pretty good deal.

If players want even more Spider-Man cosmetics, perhaps to take into Fortnite Festival, then they can purchase the Iron Spider Guitar for 1,000 V-Bucks. Whilst it's a tad on the pricier side, its aesthetic choice is impossible to be denied, and it works perfectly with the Iron Spider outfit, it's just a shame it doesn't come with a Spider-Man Jam Track to compliment the new instrument used exclusively in Fortnite Festival.

Another cosmetic players can purchase separately is the Spider Stroll, which will set players back 500 V-Bucks. This emote is traversal, and allows players to rely on the metal arachnid arms on their back to move around. This is a cosmetic emote, meaning the speed will not be increased, but it's still fun to see Spider-Man relying on these metal arms to move him around.

The last thing players can purchase separately is the Iron Spider Webbing, which is a wrap that costs 500 V-Bucks. This wrap comes with the hot rod colors of the Iron Spider look, with metallic reds and gold painted across weapons. The wrap is also interactive, so if players fire their weapons, golden webbing takes over most of the gun.

All of the Iron Spider cosmetics leave the Item Shop on September 2, 8 PM ET.
