Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is coming to an end soon, and players have been extremely busy these past couple of weeks. It's not uncommon for fans of the game to be more active during the last few days of a Fortnite season; usually, Epic Games tends to release tons of quests to make sure everyone can complete their Battle Pass in time, and players also try their hardest to get through every season quest that they might've left behind.
Epic Games is releasing a bonus cosmetic item so everyone can take a break from the grind. There are no quests related to it, which means players won't have to spend any time getting it, but it's only for those that meet certain requirements. This guide will explain exactly how to the new Masterwork Pickaxe.
How To Get The Masterwork Pickaxe
In February, when the Fortnite Crew skin, Sylvie, was announced, the Masterwork Pickaxe was teased right away; in the blog post published at the time of the pack's release, Epic Games mentioned that certain players would be eligible to receive this harvesting tool on top of the other usual cosmetics that they get for being subscribers of the Fortnite Crew Pack.
As the release date of the March Fortnite Crew pack approached, many fans became more and more curious to know more about this harvesting tool. February 21 a trailer showcasing the Masterwork Pickaxe was finally posted, and fans got a glimpse of how great it looks.
The Masterwork Pickaxe is only available for those that become members of the Fortnite Crew during a specific time window. In order to receive this harvesting tool, players have to get the Fortnite Crew Pack for February and March.
Many gamers will be picking up the Fortnite Crew Pack in March because a new Battle Pass will be released, and Fortnite Crew members are always given the Battle Pass free of charge, plus cosmetic items and 1,000 V-Bucks - making this a much better deal than buying V-Bucks.
Players that want to get the pickaxe, but don't want to purchase two months of the Fortnite Crew Pack, can buy the February Fortnite Crew Pack before 7 PM ET of the last day of the month. This way, they get access to both the February and March Crew Pack because the subscription always remains active for a full month and the countdown starts on the day that the player purchased it.
The February Crew Pack will become inaccessible on February 28 after 7 PM ET, therefore the pickaxe will be given to players then, but also become unattainable at the same time.
Fortnite is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
