Fortnite: How to Get Suppressed AR and Suppressed SMG

Fortnite's weapon selection seems like a perpetually revolving door. The battle royale title's gun selection is constantly being tweaked, with each update adding, removing, or altering at least several firearms. The ongoing Cowabunga Event quest has seen Epic unvault suppressed weapons, allowing players to equip them to complete a weekly challenge.

The challenge requires players to “Damage opponents with suppressed weapons (500).” Many players find it difficult to quickly get silenced weapons on the map to deal damage to opponents. Some don't know where to look for suppressed weapons since they spawn randomly. This guide details where players can find suppressed guns to complete the TMNT event.

Where to Find Suppressed Weapons in Chapter 5, Season 1

The latest Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 1 features new suppressed weapons players must find and equip to deal damage to opponents. This article has been updated to show players the location of all suppressed weapons in Chapter 5, Season 1.

Where to Find Suppressed Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 1

Players can find suppressed weapons as floor loot or in weapon chests. Once the battle bus launches, drop into any Fortnite location like Rebel's Roost, Classy Courts, or Lavish Lair and look for suppressed weapons in weapon chests, supply drones, or as ground loot.

We recommend dropping into the less populated areas that are not hot landing spots to avoid running into opponents.

After equipping a suppressed weapon, you can travel to a high POI to find enemies to deal damage. Players must deal 500 damage to complete the Chapter 5, Season 1 Quest and receive 300 Ooze. Here's a list of all the weapons players can find suppressed in Chapter 5, Season 1:

Note that finding suppressed weapons as ground loot isn't guaranteed, so keep looking to increase your chances of locating one. Alternatively, you can find a Mod Bench and add a suppressor to your rifle, transforming it into a suppressed weapon.

Remember, to access a Mod Bench, you must defeat all the NPC bosses guarding the area to gain access to the vault. Inside the vault, you'll gain access to the Mod Bench, where you can attach a suppressor to your rifle. Here are all the Fortnite Mod Bench locations in Chapter 5, Season 1.
