Players looking to acquire the Boom Bolt can obtain it from both Chests and Rare Chests, and they can come across this unique weapon as ground loot.

The base rarity of the Boom Bow ranges from Rare to Legendary, with Epic and Legendary variants having an increased chance of being found in Rare Chests - making searching Weapon Bunkers an ideal method of obtaining one.

However, though a Legendary Boom Bolt does sound pretty neat, players can also obtain a Mythic variant by defeating Ringmaster Scarr over at the Nitrodrome for increased damage and ammo capacity.

Boom Bolt Stats

Just as the name suggests, the Boom Bolt fires bolts that each explode shortly after hitting their mark. This makes them drastically different from the Boom Bow that debuted back in Chapter 2 Season 2, and more like the Ex-Caliber Rifle from Chapter 4 Season 1.

The Boom Bolt makes use of Rockets as ammunition, with players only being able to carry a total of 15 Rockets at any given time. To make the most of its damage output, players must ensure they land a shot directly onto an enemy player, as firing simply near an opponent will give them a brief window to move away from the upcoming explosion.
