How to Get the Free Blitz Pickaxe in Fortnite

The Blitz Boon Bonanza update for Fortnite's Blitz Royale allows players to get hold of a free Blitz Pickaxe, regardless of whether they play the mode regularly or not. While many of the free rewards in Fortnite require players to complete quests, earn a victory royale, or complete a whole host of other objectives, getting this free Pickaxe is actually pretty simple and can be done in a matter of seconds.

For players looking to get the free Blitz Axe in Fortnite, all they have to do is log in to Fortnite following the update on July 15 at 12 PM ET. Once done, the Blitz Axe will be unlocked, allowing players to equip it in their lockers and use it for themselves. However, players will have until July 29, 9 AM ET to claim the reward for free, which also marks the return of Mega City inside Blitz Royale.

The Blitz Axe is an excellent addition to rock alongside the Blitz 'Brella, which can be unlocked by earning victory royales in Blitz Royale up until July 15, leaving at the same time as the Blitz Axe arrives. However, the Blitz Axe is only available for free for this limited time. While there is currently no official confirmation on whether or not it will return at a later date, like most other cosmetic rewards in Fortnite, it could potentially return again after its free offering through the Item Shop for V-Bucks.
