The Fortnitemares event was already looking promising. Epic Games had even released Saw's Billy the Puppet skin in Fortnite before it officially started, which truly put players in the mood. So, when Epic confirmed that downtime for the Fortnitemares patch would start at 4 AM ET on October 11, most players were overjoyed to know that they would soon be able to relive the nightmarish activities that are available in Fortnite every Fortnitemares.
Fortnite Announces Removal of Certain Seasonal Quests
Epic Games reveals that it's removing one set of repeatable quests in an upcoming Fortnite season, making it harder for fans to earn XP.
Unfortunately, a couple of hours before downtime was supposed to start, Epic Games announced that it would be delaying server shutdown for a few hours to make the final touches on the Fortnite Halloween update. However, just a little over an hour later, it announced that the update would be rescheduled for the following day, which felt like a letdown for many fans who had set alarms so they could be ready as soon as it became available. Downtime for patch v31.40 has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 12 at 2 AM ET.

On the bright side, this means that Epic Games is doing everything it can to give fans the best Fortnitemares experience possible. Hopefully, once the update is out, gamers will be able to forget all about this bump in the road and focus on the exciting things they can do in-game.
Battle Royale players can expect Fortnitemares to bring back classic weapons, such as the Pumpkin Launcher, and fans' favorite spooky Fortnite skins. The best part of Fortnitemares 2024 is that it won't be a Battle Royale exclusive this year. LEGO Fortnite will be receiving a spooky event pass, and gamers will be able to unlock tons of free rewards.
