Leakers have predicted the dates for the next four patches coming to Fortnite, including the start date for the highly anticipated Fortnitemares event. From the Lunar New Year to Winterfest, several popular seasonal events take place each year in Fortnite, giving the community plenty to look forward to. Players can participate in these recurring events to both celebrate with friends and to unlock exclusive themed rewards.
Winterfest and Fortnitemares are two of the most popular events in Fortnite, with players quickly speculating when these celebrations will begin each year. With October just around the corner, Fortnite horror crossover speculation is beginning to pop up online and many fans have already started thinking about Fortnitemares. The Fortnite Halloween event usually adds unique cosmetics, quests, and free rewards, but this year Fortnitemares might be bigger than ever.

Fortnite's selection of cosmetics has something for everyone, including terrifying skins fit to star in nightmares.
HYPEX, a reliable Fortnite leaker, claims that Epic Games has started playtesting the next major live event coming to Fortnite before the start of Season OG Chapter 2. Upon sharing its date, the user also shared every scheduled patch up until that point. According to HYPEX, Fortnitemares is slated to start October 15, 2024, a Tuesday, which is when most Fortnite updates are released. If the date is eventually confirmed, gamers can expect Fortnitemares 2024 at the same time as the Daily Quest refreshes.
Expected Fortnitemares 2024 Start Date & Time
- Tuesday, October 15, 9 AM ET
Aside from rumors about a possible SAW collab, not much has been revealed about what could be coming to Fortnite for the Fortnitemares event. Last year, players saw the release of the Wood Stake Shotgun and Kado Thorne's Vampiric Blade, the comeback of the Horde Rush LTM, and the return of the Pumpkin Launcher, the Witch Broom, and Sanguine Sweets. On top of this, there were plenty of quests to complete and cosmetics to unlock.
It is likely that fan-favorite Fortnite collabs, such as Jack Skellington and Michael Myers, could be returning to the Item Shop. Another fan expectation is the release of Mephisto in Fortnite. Players have been awaiting his release for a while now, and the silhouette of Mephisto in the background of the Ghost Ri-Durrr skin only makes players more hopeful.
