Summary
- Leaks reveal Fortnite Festival seasons' launch dates & in-game concerts featuring Metallica, Karol G, and Snoop Dogg.
- Pirates of the Caribbean crossover is confirmed, despite a slight delay in release date accuracy.
- In-game concerts have evolved with interactive experiences, building on past events like the Eminem live show.
The launch date of the next two Fortnite Festival seasons has been uncovered by leakers as well as new information on each season's upcoming concerts. Fortnite's 2024 roadmap has been discussed extensively among the community, and so far, everything has been coming together; at this point, it's pretty clear that it was more than a rumor or a mere coincidence. Even though Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 didn't include the Mad Max crossover that everyone was waiting for, its theme focused on a similar wasteland society with powerful cars.
The Pirates of the Caribbean crossover was another roadmap item that was recently confirmed. The file mentioned that it would be released in June, which wasn't the case, as it is scheduled to launch mid-July, but the roadmap remained quite accurate overall. The date wasn't exactly correct, but this could be due to some unexpected delay, which would explain the accidental release of the Cursed Sails Pass in the Item Shop, which allowed many fans to unlock the Jack Sparrow skin ahead of time.
Fortnite Leak Reveals Canceled Die Hard Crossover
A major Fortnite leak gives fans a glimpse at the scrapped collaboration with Die Hard, which was in the news a few years back.
The 2024 roadmap focused on every Fortnite game mode, though it wasn't exclusive to Battle Royale content. According to the Fortnite Festival information exposed on the roadmap, its Season 4 pass would focus on Metallica, Season 5 would bring Karol G to the stage, and Season 6 would be all about Snoop Dogg. Recent leaks have confirmed these affirmations and revealed the release date for each season. It was already known that Fortnite Festival's Metallica season would end on August 16 at 12 AM ET, so it didn't come as a surprise when the leaks confirmed Season 5 to launch on the same day. However, it seems that it will end on October 3, which is when Season 6 will become available.
Fortnite Festival Season 5 & 6 Release Dates
- Season 5 (Karol G): August 16
- Season 6 (Snoop Dogg): October 3
On top of the release date, it was also revealed that these two artists will host an in-game concert similar to Metallica. The Metallica event in Fortnite featured its own Creative map, and during each showtime, players got to participate in an interactive experience while listening to the band's most popular songs.
Even though there were some hiccups due to server failure, the Eminem live show was executed the same way. In-game concerts have come a long way, and they're quite different compared to the first Fortnite live events like the Marshmello concert back in Chapter 1.
