While Master Chief has already debuted in Fortnite and returns to the Item Shop on rare occasions, there has never been a second Halo skin in the game until now. Fortnite x Halo brings forth an UNSC Spartan for players to claim with Chapter 6 Season 4, but there's a catch that works in everyone's favor. This skin can be grabbed entirely for free, and all it takes is a little hard work to earn it. Below, players will find out how to get the UNSC Spartan for free in Fortnite to join the battle with Master Chief without spending V-Bucks.
How to Get the Free UNSC Spartan Skin in Fortnite
As soon as non-Battle Pass holders reach Level 100, the UNSC Spartan outfit will unlock for them to claim, starting from August 26. Alternatively, the UNSC Spartan in its blue version can be obtained immediately from the Chapter 6 Season 4 Battle Pass as a reward for purchasing the premium pass for 1,000 V-Bucks, or with a monthly subscription to the Fortnite Crew. However, players can actually get the UNSC Spartan entirely for free without purchasing the Battle Pass simply by reaching Level 100 in the Shock 'N Awesome season (Chapter 6 Season 4).
There's no rush to get this outfit for free, as players will have until November 1, 2025, to earn it, and 100 Levels within that time won't be too hard to get with the abundance of Battle Royale quests and playtime XP available. Unfortunately, the majority of other cosmetics for the Halo x Fortnite collab will require the paid version of the Battle Pass, but players will be able to get the UNSC Spartan outfit for free at least. Here are some of the other Halo-related cosmetics players can earn in the Battle Pass for free:
