The next update, patch v36.60, will be the last one in Chapter 6 Season 3. It will add the assets for the upcoming live event and more, so naturally, fans are excited to dive into it. This article tells players what they need to know about the start and end of downtime for the next Fortnite update.

Epic Games has confirmed the downtime for the next update, and gamers can expect it to begin at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET / 8 AM UTC on Tuesday, July 30.

Matchmaking is usually disabled 30 minutes prior to downtime, so gamers aren't unexpectedly kicked out of a match before they have a chance to finish it.

Even though assets for the upcoming event will be added with this update, this is still a standard Fortnite update, so players shouldn't expect a large patch size or for downtime to take longer than usual.

Servers will most likely be down for two to three hours, so fans should be able to return to the game around 7 AM ET. However, this is just an estimate based on past events, and it is not possible to 100 percent accurately predict when servers will be back up.
