A prominent Fortnite leaker surprised Disney fans by announcing that the game would soon feature a crossover with Baymax from Big Hero 6. While this may seem like a strange fit, Disney and Epic Games have recently been deepening their partnership, especially when it comes to Fortnite collaborations.
Fortnite's current season, Chapter 2 Remix, will come to a close as its newest chapter launches at the beginning of December. The month of November has been packed with collaborations, featuring crossovers with Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and the late artist Juice WRLD. Players can even claim free Juice WRLD cosmetics by logging into the game before the end of the season. All of this is coming hot off the heels of the game's second full Marvel season. Fortnite has also recently crossed over with Saw, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and more.
The Game Awards is Back in Fortnite
The Game Awards returns to Fortnite, once again allowing players to make their voices heard regarding which user-made maps are the best.
Known Fortnite leaker SamLeakss posted what appears to be the key art for Chapter 6 Season 1. The art is packed to the brim with new characters, but only two of them involve upcoming collaborations. If the art is authentic, it would confirm that both Baymax and Godzilla will be featured in Fortnite' s upcoming battle pass. This comes at a moment when Epic Games is increasing the price of the battle pass for the first time and changing the benefits of its Fortnite Crew subscription.
Baymax Could Just Be the Beginning of Fortnite’s Big Hero 6 Collaboration
The announcement of a collaboration with Big Hero 6 comes amid a flurry of leaks, such as Fortnite's potential crossover with Cyberpunk 2077. While it seems as if Baymax will be in the battle pass, that could just be the beginning of the battle royale's collaboration with the movie. When a character from a major franchise is featured in a battle pass, it's not uncommon to see more skins from that property come to the item shop. For instance, The Witcher's Geralt was followed by the appearance of Ciri and Yennefer in Chapter 4 Season 1.
Many fans have taken to social media to express excitement about the future of the game's upcoming chapter. It was recently leaked that a crossover between Fortnite and Demon Slayer could happen in the near future. The battle royale's newest season is rumored to feature traditional Japanese themes, even going so far as to include Demon and Oni masks as a mechanic within the game. With the new chapter debuting in early December, it seems like Fortnite fans have a lot to look forward to.
