New weapons and items, like Fortnite's new War Machine's Arsenal and Doctor Doom's Arcane Gauntlets have shaken up gameplay considerably in Chapter 5 Season 4, with plenty more exciting updates on the way. However, the Fortnite brand is much larger than just the digital world of the game, with the franchise making its way into physical retail stores in the form of action figures and other collectibles. This continues with the game's latest collaboration, which will soon allow players to buy and wear Fortnite-themed Crocs.
Rare Fortnite Cosmetic Returns to the Item Shop After Nearly 5 Years
After nearly five years since its last appearance, an extremely rare Fortnite cosmetic upgrade returns to the item shop, delighting fans.
Fortnite's partnership with Crocs is an exciting one, with two new pairs of notorious rubber shoes expected to hit store shelves on October 29. Dexerto shared the first image of the Fortnite x Crocs collaboration on Twitter. The first pair appears to be inspired by Fortnite's iconic Battle Bus, featuring a purple paint scheme and the same yellow hazard symbols on the clog's straps. Another pair inspired by popular Fortnite character Peely is also reportedly on the way, though only images of the Battle Bus pair have been revealed so far.
New Fortnite Crocs Are Coming
Each pair of Fortnite Crocs will cost $70, around double the price of normal, everyday Crocs. Players will notice the Battle Bus pair of Crocs appear to have their own back bling, which will seemingly let wearers store things inside. The new Crocs also come with Jibbitz, the fun little rubber decals that can be put into the shoe's holes. These Jibbitz come in a variety of designs inspired by the game, like Fortnite's Supply Llama and Supply Drop.
As stated earlier, collaborations are part of Fortnite's DNA, with fans always left wondering who, or what could be added to the game next. Fortnite recently teased its 2024 Fortnitemares event, which includes horror icons Billy the Puppet from the Saw franchise as well as Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Of course, with Fortnite's Chapter 5 Season 4 cycle revolving around Marvel Comics, fans can expect several more heroes and villains to make their way into the game and the item shop. Absolute Doom will wrap up on November 2, with anticipation slowly building toward Fortnite's next season.
