Epic Games has revealed a major collaboration between Fortnite and Ninja, declaring that the streamer will be taking over the popular game mode Blitz Royale on August 2 at 4 PM ET. Fortnite recently announced that Blitz Royale will be made a permanent mode after its immediate and sustained success over the last couple of months.
August 2 is shaping up to be a very big day for players, as Fortnite will also be launching its Super Showdown live event at 2:30 PM ET. With Chapter 6 Season 3 coming to a close, Epic Games is releasing a live event that will likely wrap up its story and prepare gamers for the launch of Season 4. The announcement stated that the DC hero Superman will be making a return, which likely means he'll play a big role in the event. However, it now seems as if Epic Games is using Super Showdown to kick off a full afternoon of activities.

In a recent post on Twitter, Epic Games revealed a major upcoming collaboration between Fortnite and popular streamer Ninja. In the post, Fortnite declares that Blitz Royale is at Ninja's command. The post also states that, starting at 4 PM ET on August 2, players will get to experience a whole new Blitz Royale with fresh weapons and different rules. Ninja himself revealed that he will be receiving a new skin variant and even showed off a couple of fresh weapons coming to Blitz Royale, like Blitz Boss Ninja's Trash Launcher and Blitz Boss Ninja's Get Good Shotgun.
Fortnite Is Launching a Major Blitz Royale Update With Ninja August 2
It was recently revealed that Fortnite's Blitz Royale will be receiving two new game modes for players to enjoy, which are called Six Stack and Pure Chaos. Six Stack will allow gamers to team up in groups of six for the first time in Blitz Royale, giving even bigger groups of friends a chance to play together in a new way. Pure Chaos, on the other hand, will feature increased siphon and tough opponents, making it perfect for anyone looking for a challenge. These new modes are scheduled to go live at 3 PM ET on August 2.
In addition to getting a couple of new modes, Fortnite is bringing back Dragon Ball mythics in Blitz Royale. Following the Super Showdown live event, players will be able to utilize unlimited mythics (or unlimited Kamehamehas) in Blitz Royale for one hour. This event will lead right into the new collaboration with Ninja at 4 PM ET. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
