How to Get the Cobalt Slingshot in Fortnite
Cobalt Slingshot Locations
The Cobalt Slingshot can only be found in chests in the Battle Royale map from November 8th to November 9th, but it can also be found in Delulu. The Cobalt Slingshot is found in the Rare rarity, so there are no additional versions to find, and no NPCs will sell the Cobalt Slingshot. While the Cobalt Slingshot is expected to have a Mythic variant that is claimed later during the season, for now, the only way to get it is by opening chests and Supply Drops in the hopes that you are lucky enough to get one. However, is the Cobalt Slingshot even worth it? Check out what we think below to see the stats and facts.

The Cobalt Slingshot only comes in Rare (blue), and it functions a lot like a Bow, in which players must hold the aim button to charge their shot and use drop-off to aim and shoot a ranged projectile. The damage is the same regardless of how charged the weapon is, as is the durability. There is no ammo needed for the Cobalt Slingshot, as, instead, players will have 100% durability, and around 4-6% durability is lost when you fire the weapon. The arc of projectile radius is similar to that of a Grenade or a Bow, meaning you need to be quite accurate to get a direct hit, which deals 15 damage. Anyone hit with the generous splash damage will take 50 damage, and it's an additional 10 damage for every second they remain in the radiation cloud, for a total of 4 seconds.
For those asking if the Cobalt Slingshot is any good in Fortnite, the answer is a brief no. The Cobalt Slingshot isn't very accurate, and a direct hit plus splash damage only means 65 damage, whereas other weapons are far more accurate, fire faster, and provide superior DPS, thus making this weapon a cute gimmick, but a gimmick nonetheless.
There is a Mythic variant of the Cobalt Slingshot that has not been released into the game.
