When Does Downtime for Fortnite Chapter 7 Begin?

Players won't want to miss the Zero Hour event, which has been promoted as the Chapter 6 finale live event. This should wrap up the Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 storyline and initiate the next chapter's story.
Epic Games has confirmed that servers will shut down as soon as the Zero Hour live event. According to the Xbox event tab page, the Zero Hour event should last about half an hour, which means downtime for Chapter 7 should begin at around 2:30 PM ET.
When Do Fortnite Servers Come Back Up?

Epic Games has not stated how long they expect servers to be down. However, the official Fortnite Twitter account has mentioned that downtime will last "several hours". Since this is a chapter shift, it will be a massive update. Therefore, players can expect downtime to take considerably more time compared to the patches that are released throughout seasons.
Leaks suggest that it will take between 7 to 8 hours for servers to come back up, meaning gamers might only be able to enter their first game at around 10 PM ET.
To prepare for the upcoming chapter, players should make sure that they preload Fortnite, as it is now available, and they should keep an eye on the Epic Games status webpage, as they'll be able to easily tell when server maintenance has ended.
