Fortnite Shock 'N Awesome's reveal trailer has been shown to the entire community, and gamers are more hyped than ever for the upcoming Battle Royale season. Best Melee Weapons In Fortnite History, Ranked
Fortnite has added plenty of experimental melee weapons over the years, but these ones stand out as the most fun and powerful of the loot pool.
While it can be sad to say goodbye, fans have a lot to look forward to, as patch v37.00 will bring a whole season of Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite OG. This guide provides information on the start of downtime in Fortnite as well as its end, giving players an estimate of how long they'll have to wait until servers come back up and Chapter 6 Season 4 begins.
When Will Downtime Begin in Fortnite? (Chapter 6 Season 3)
End of Chapter 6 Season 3 - Downtime Start Time
While gamers had previously calculated the start of downtime, as the in-game Battle Pass page gave some insight on when the passes would become unavailable, Epic Games has finally confirmed when servers will shut down, marking the end of Chapter 6 Season 3.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 downtime will begin at 2 AM ET on August 7. Matchmaking will be disabled at around 1:30 AM ET, around 30 minutes before servers shut down, which is why the LEGO Fortnite Pass, the OG Pass, and the Battle Pass are only available until this time. Therefore, players must make sure that they complete any unfinished business before then.
Pre-downloads for the upcoming season will begin earlier on Xbox and PlayStation. Gamers on these platforms can pre-download the new season patch as of 8 PM ET on August 6.
When Will Downtime End in Fortnite? (Chapter 6 Season 4)
When Will Servers Come Back Up?
The official Fortnite Status account on Twitter has announced that the v37.00 patch is considerably larger compared to other seasons. So, players can expect tons of content to make its way to Fortnite with the release of Chapter 6 Season 4. Nevertheless, new season updates always include patches with relatively large sizes, which is why downtime lasts longer compared to the standard biweekly updates.
Servers should remain unresponsive for four to five hours. Players can expect downtime to end and servers to come back up at about 6-7 AM ET on August 7.
