  • Recent leaks suggest Fortnite may be crossing over with James Gunn's upcoming Superman film.

Fortnite has just released its first official teaser for Chapter 6 Season 3, which may have hinted at a superhero theme. Epic Games recently launched its first Star Wars-themed mini-season in Fortnite, which has brought iconic characters like General Grievous, Emperor Palpatine, and Jar Jar Binks to the island.

While the mini-season has been a big hit with many Star Wars fans, it did come with some controversy. Near the beginning of the Galactic Battle season, Epic Games launched a fully voiced AI version of the character Darth Vader to the popular battle royale. A lot of content creators have been busy capturing humorous clips of their interaction with the NPC, asking him to help them with their math homework and even having him call them by funny names. However, due to the nature of Darth Vader being voiced by an AI version of the late James Earl Jones, who passed in 2024, SAG-AFTRA is now suing Fortnite for replacing the jobs of voice actors.

LEGO Releasing Three New Fortnite Sets
LEGO Releases New Fortnite Sets

LEGO is rolling out three brand-new sets based on Fortnite, including multiple fan-favorite skins and special in-game rewards for players.

In a recent post on Twitter, the popular leaker HYPEX pointed out that Epic Games may have teased the theme of Chapter 6 Season 3 of Fortnite. While Epic Games' announcement mostly involved news about real-life Fortnite LEGO sets, the company concluded its statement by asking gamers to stay tuned for more "super-scale news." In another post on Twitter, HYPEX pointed out that Fortnite's next season could involve superheroes due to numerous original skin concepts that were shared in a recent survey.

Chapter 6 Season 3 of Fortnite May Involve Superheroes

Another recent leak by ShiinaBR suggested that Fortnite could be crossing over with Superman, as James Gunn's new movie is scheduled to launch on July 11. This would overlap with Chapter 6 Season 3, which would make the collaboration something of a natural fit. According to rumors, players might be able to actually become Superman during a match, though there's no word on what kind of powers might come with the transformation. This could be similar to the way players were able to become Godzilla in the middle of a match during Chapter 6 Season 1. In fact, Fortnite's Galactic Battle season currently allows gamers to take full control of a Star Destroyer, allowing them to fire upon any enemies in sight.

While Fortnite has featured numerous crossovers with Marvel, there has been no word about the popular company collaborating with Epic Games for Chapter 6 Season 3. This has disappointed some fans, but others are looking forward to seeing more original concepts potentially come to life in the popular battle royale. With so much content to explore and even more just around the corner, many players are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
