Summary
- Fortnite's Chapter 6 was paused for a Star Wars-themed mini-season before the upcoming expected Season 3.
- Leaks hint at a superhero-themed Season 3 Battle Pass with a chameleon skin, offering potential customization opportunities.
Fortnite's upcoming Battle Pass won't be available until the second week of June, but leakers have already found hints and images of what appears to be a chameleon-like character skin. Fortnite Chapter 6 was unexpectedly interrupted at the start of May. While some gamers were expecting Season 3 to start immediately after Season 2 came to an end, that did not happen; instead, the chapter was put on hold for a month to make way for Galactic Battle, a Star Wars-themed mini-season.
Until June 7, the Battle Royale island is riddled with Star Wars weapons and characters and themed locations. During this time, players must try their hardest to complete a shorter Battle Pass and unlock all of its V-Bucks and Star Wars cosmetics before the season ends. Currently, there are no reasons to believe that Chapter 6 Season 3 won't be the next season, so gamers are hopeful that they will once again return to standard season lengths, which will feature a more rewarding Battle Pass with more V-Bucks and cosmetics.
Fortnite Leaks Potentially Reveal Next In-Game Concert
Thanks to leakers, players can learn the details about the next musical performance coming to Fortnite, including the set time and number of songs.
Rumors suggest that the next Fortnite season will be superhero-themed, as survey skins and boons found in the game files have focused on this theme recently. Loolo_WRLD and andredotuasset, two Fortnite leakers, have revealed that one of the codenames found in the game files is a chameleon-like character, expected to be part of the Chapter 6 Season 3 Battle Pass as a skin, which has left fans with mixed feelings, since it does not look much like a superhero - at least at first glance.
Chapter 6 Season 3 Might Feature a Chameleon Skin
A chameleon skin has been shown before in fan surveys, and their appearance does not look like a superhero at all. It looks like any standard gimmick character that Epic Games has added before. However, that doesn't mean that it won't have superhero-like alternative styles. There are various Peely skins in Fortnite, and they're quite versatile when it comes to their themes. There is a regular-looking Peely that's just an undressed banana, and then there's a spy Peely, a Ninja Peely, and quite a few variants that show how versatile skins can be in Fortnite.
Epic Games enjoys coming up with quirky skins and adding them to the Battle Pass, and they usually please fans who like to come up with sillier looks. And they fit Fortnite quite well, as it's a game that doesn't take itself too seriously. For example, Midas is one of the most serious characters in Fortnite, but he has a summer variant that completely changes his vibe. A chameleon skin adds endless possibilities in terms of alternative styles, especially when it comes to colors and textures. Gamers might have a great time using this skin in Creative fashion show islands and Battle Royale.
