Details on the next chapter of Fortnite have been relatively sparse in terms of official news, but Epic did recently confirm that the fan-favorite OG mode will be returning to Fortnite on December 6, which we now know will be just five days after the launch of Chapter 6. Fans first got to experience Fortnite OG back in November 2023, with the special season bringing back the Battle Royale's original map, weapons, and more. The OG season was a massive success for Epic Games, bringing in over 44.7 million players in just a single day, making it the biggest day in Fortnite's history. Now, shortly after the launch of Chapter 6 Season 1, Epic is bringing back Fortnite OG as a separate game mode for fans to enjoy.

With the end of Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix fast approaching, Epic Games has finally confirmed that Chapter 6 Season 1 will begin on Sunday, December 1, 2024. The studio announced the news on Twitter along with the first official look at the update with some new keyart. The single image is sure to build plenty of hype for the new chapter, as it confirms a plethora of previous leaks and rumors, including a Godzilla collaboration, new Disney outfits, and more. The keyart also confirms that Chapter 6 Season 1 will be titled 'Hunters'.

Further details on the update will likely be released in the build-up to December 1, but leaks have already revealed that a new point of interest known as the Demon Arena will be present in Fortnite Chapter 6. According to ShiinaBR, who is a reliable leaker when it comes to all things Fortnite, the new location will be part of the Chapter 6 Season 1 island and will allow players to battle against NPCs to collect loot.

A separate leak also suggests Epic Games is working with James Cameron's Avatar for an upcoming Fortnite collaboration. While it's currently unknown as to whether or not fans can expect the collaboration to go live in Chapter 6 Season 1, there are still plenty of other massive crossovers that have now been confirmed, including Godzilla and Big Hero 6's Baymax.
