The Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 trailer has been posted following its leak, and there is a lot to unpack. Fortnite took a break from the regular seasons when Chapter 2 Remix went live. Similarly to what happened in 2023, instead of moving from one chapter to another, gamers were able to return to a previous Battle Royale island for a month with a special edition OG map.
OG seasons are much shorter compared to other Battle Royale seasons as they only last about a month. With Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix coming to an end, the hype for the upcoming season has risen exponentially over the past couple of days. It’s been particularly exciting because the Fortnite Japan X account has been sharing fanart focused on the upcoming season, Chapter 6 Season 1, allowing players to start speculating about the next Battle Pass, POIs, and weapons.
It is common for leaks to occur in the last couple of days of a season. So, even though Chapter 6 Season 1 will only go live on December 1, the trailer for the new Fortnite season was uncovered and published two days before the launch of the season, eventually followed by the official release on the main channels by Epic Games. The trailer reveals mechanics, such as rolling and wall-jumping, while showing new POIs and landmarks on the map as well as the C6S1 Battle Pass characters.
What to Expect From Chapter 6 Season 1
- Samurai-inspired Battle Pass
- Samurai mask items
- Giant bosses (Godzilla, Masks with Hands, Large Samurai)
- Slurp creatures/pets
- New parkour moves
Besides being a boss on the map, Godzilla may be a Battle Pass skin. If this is the case, it will most likely be the bonus skin. These skins are usually revealed a few weeks into the season and can only be unlocked if the player completes themed quests. Similarly to the Dynamo TNTina Quests in Chapter 2 Remix, fans can expect Godzilla Quests to be released in Chapter 6 Season 1, possibly in early or mid-February.
Besides the gameplay trailer, Fortnite also tends to publish a cinematic trailer at the start of the season. Therefore, gamers who prefer to stay spoiler-free until the official launch of Chapter 6 Season 1 will have to steer clear of the internet and the community until the early morning hours of Sunday, December 1 to get the experience firsthand.
