As the end of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 approaches, anticipation for the next season is slowly building. Following the Super season, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4’s theme is Shock ‘N Awesome and will have players fighting off invading bugs while competing for the elusive Victory Royale.

As exciting as it is to see this unique theme and how this will affect Battle Royale moving forward, one of the Battle Pass skins could hold the most interesting piece of information. Some new original skins have been revealed alongside another Halo skin in Fortnite, but the Power Rangers collab could hint at a nostalgic event for players later in the season.

Fortnite C6S4 Is Getting Power Rangers Skins

All Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Will Be Playable

Rumors of a Power Rangers and Fortnite crossover emerged prior to the announcement of the latest season, and now that the characters are confirmed to make an appearance in Shock ‘N Awesome, these skins could be a great incentive for players to return to the game. After the DC-themed skins from the Super season, a crossover with Power Rangers seems to be a fitting follow-up.

Four of the five Power Rangers skins will be available in the Fortnite item shop as a bundle, but players wanting to complete the set will need to make sure that they have enough V-Bucks for the Battle Pass or ensure that they are subscribed to Fortnite Crew. The Tommy Oliver Green Ranger skin is confirmed to be part of the Battle Pass, and his White Ranger variant may also appear as an additional style.

A Fortnite Crew subscription gives players access to all current passes, 1,000 V-Bucks, and an exclusive skin each month. Access to the different passes is lost when the player’s subscription expires.

The Dino Megazord Is the Season’s Bonus Outfit

Players with the Chapter 6 Season 4 Battle Pass have access to more than just one of the Power Rangers, though. The Battle Pass Bonus Outfit for Fortnite’s next season will be the Dino Megazord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a towering mecha piloted by each of the Power Rangers, formed by the combination of their individual Dinozords.

In past Battle Passes, the Bonus Skin had multiple styles for players to unlock. Usually, this is an additional costume for the same version of the character, but some have gone against this. The most recent example is Superman from Fortnite’s Super season, with styles based on both the David Corenswet iteration of the character and the 1940s animations. With this creative freedom, the second style for the Dino Megazord could be based on different Megazords, such as the Thunder and Ninja Megazords.

Fortnite players who are unfamiliar with Power Rangers and the Megazord may feel like its design looks familiar. The Mecha Team Leader Fortnite skin has been in the game since Chapter 1 Season 9, and its design is reminiscent of a Megazord. Each of its limbs is a distinct piece, combined to form one large mecha, much like the Dinozords. Much like the Black Knight T-60 Power Armor Fallout skin, the Megazord could possibly have a style unique to Fortnite, with colors similar to the Mecha Team Leader.

The latest season of Fortnite has been somewhat problematic, but this isn't the first Battle Pass that is cause for controversy.

A Megazord Mythic Boss Could Be a Blast From the Past

As the Megazord skin has been revealed to be Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4’s Bonus Outfit, it could follow a trend set by some of the other Chapter 6 skins. Godzilla and Superman were featured as the Bonus Outfits of their respective seasons, and each later appeared as a boss event, allowing players to transform into them and use their unique abilities. These Fortnite Mythic events have slowly become a staple of Battle Royale, and it is unlikely that this will change in the upcoming season.

The Dino Megazord being the Bonus Outfit makes it very likely that it will be the Boss Event for the Shock ‘N Awesome season. Much like Godzilla and the Superman Kryptonian Form Mythics, players would possibly need to race across the Battle Royale map to be the first to transform into the Megazord. Of course, players are able to use these skins in regular gameplay once they’ve earned the outfit from the Battle Pass, but they can only use the powers of these characters from these events. Giving players these tools could make them feel more immersed, bringing back memories of the TV show’s iconic fight scenes.

How to Use the Superman Mythic in Fortnite

In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Dino Megazord uses plenty of abilities that Fortnite could take inspiration from for a boss event. The Power Sword is iconic and will likely also be included alongside the Bonus Outfit as a Fortnite Harvesting Tool. The Megazord also has a Tank Mode, which could be ideal for traversing across Chapter 6 Season 4’s map and targeting enemy players with its cannons. Players across Fortnite Battle Royale lobbies will likely target the Megazord player, so giving them the Mammoth Shield as an ability could keep the boss active for longer during the match.

The Mythic boss event for the Dino Megazord may be able to take inspiration from a past Fortnite Live Event. Towards the end of Chapter 3 Season 2, players could team up with others online in the Fortnite Collision event to co-pilot the Mecha Strike Commander, The Seven’s iteration of the Mecha Team Leader. This event let players loom over the map in the mecha and destroy structures, making it perfect for the Dino Megazord to take inspiration from.

Fortnite has become well-known for its crossover events with other franchises, and Chapter 6 Season 4 could be very nostalgic for some players. Skins like Mecha Team Leader and Mecha Strike Commander may have been great skins for Power Rangers fans, but the official collaboration may be the throwback that fans have been waiting for. With the Dino Megazord as the Bonus Outfit, based on the other Chapter 6 seasons, its inclusion as a Mythic boss in Fortnite feels like an inevitability. Fortnite’s Shock ‘N Awesome season starts on August 7, so players may be able to learn more by then.
