Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 started on December 3, 2023, and it has been a wild ride so far. This season has been riddled with tons of new content, including three new permanent game modes. These modes are just as complex as Battle Royale, so fans spend just as much of their time on them.

Updated on March 1, 2024, by Ashely Claudino: This guide has been updated with more information about the start of Chapter 5 Season 2 as well the imminent Titan Hand event.
When Does Chapter 5 Season 1 End?
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 will come to an end on Friday, March 8, 2023, at 2 AM ET. This Fortnite season will last a little over three months. It might seem like plenty of time since most of the Battle Pass rewards can be unlocked by level 100, but in order to get all the bonus rewards as well as the Super Styles for the Battle Pass skins, gamers will have to continue to level up their accounts.
Gamers have to reach level 141 to claim all Chapter 5 Season 1 V-Bucks and level 200 to claim every single reward available. Once Chapter 5 Season 1 ends, every Battle Pass reward will become unavailable. Players who are having a hard time completing the Battle Pass should take a look at this season's Level Up Quest Pack, the Interstellar Aerial Quest Pack, as they can earn up to 28 account levels by completing all of its quests.
Chapter 5 Season 1 End Event
Epic Games has not yet confirmed if there will be a end of season live event for Chapter 5 Season 1. However, a mini event is expected soon.
Inhabitants of the Battle Royale island have been experiencing earthquakes every few hours, and a Titan Hand will come out of the ground near Ruined Reels soon. According to leaks, the Titan Hand will hold up Pandora's Box, and gamers will have to shoot it down. This will most likely unravel the start of Chapter 5 Season 2.
When Does Chapter 5 Season 2 Start?
Chapter 5 Season 2 will launch not long after Season 1 ends, so it will go live on March 8 as well. Updates and season renewals have been delayed in the past, but it seems like that won't be the case with the upcoming Fortnite season; according to ShiinaBR, a respected leaker in the Fortnite community, update v29.00, the Chapter 5 Season 2 patch, has been added to the staging servings, and it will be released on time.
Unless there are any unpexted last minute delays, downtime for the Chapter 5 Season 2 update should start at 2 AM, but matchmaking will be deactivated shortly before to prevent any gamers from being disconnected while playing a match.
Servers tend to take a bit longer to go up when a new season starts, so players won't be able to play right away. Fans can expect to be able to play Fortnite's Chapter 5 Season 2 on Friday, March 8, 2023, around 6 AM and 8 AM ET. However, there might be a login queue, making it harder to get into the game.
