As a live service title, Epic Games' massively popular online Battle Royale Fortnite is always changing. Alongside larger scale seasonal updates, new updates arrive almost on a weekly basis, providing timely fixes for bugs as well as refreshed content to keep players coming back. Recently, Epic collaborated with Ubisoft to bring new Assassin's Creed cosmetics into Fortnite including full outfits of Ezio Auditore de Firenze and Eivor Varinsdottir.
Besides big crossover content, Fortnite is constantly changing the available weapons and gear that players can acquire during matches. Utilizing a virtual vault, Epic Games is cablable of removing weapons and items from the game either to tweak them or bring them back at a later date. On occasion, Epic has even polled Fortnite players to see which vaulted items they'd like to see make a comeback, which has previously included popular weapons like the Combat Assault Rifle and Combat SMG.
Unvaulted Content
With springtime in the air, Epic Games is also unvaulting a couple of items related to the Easter season. Only available for a limited time, Fortnite players can get their hands on the Egg Launcher, a weapon that fires exploding eggs as well as consumable bouncy eggs that restore shield and lower gravity. Here's where players can locate the Egg Launcher.
Where to Find the Egg Launcher
During this limited window, Fortnite players likely won't have a difficult time finding an Egg Launcher. Unlike the Jetpack, which is also making its return during this small window of time, the Egg Launcher can be obtained through looting treasure chests, supply drops, and as random floor loot. However, looting chests and supply drops are still random, so finding one isn't guaranteed. As floor loot, players can come across different rarity levels ranging from the uncommon blue version to a Legendary Orange.
Players can also utilize tents during a match to potentially gain an early advantage. Once a tent has been found, players can use it to store weapons or items inside, in this case, an Egg Launcher. When in a different match, using a tent allows a player to retrieve those previously stored items.
Egg Launcher Details
Over the past year, the weapon meta has continued to evolve and change. Many players rely on the Anvil Rocket Launcher to maximize their damage output, especially against vehicles and the recently added Chapter 3 Episode 2 IO Titan tanks. The Egg launcher likely won't usurp that position especially since eggs bounce once fired, making them ideally suited to players rather than vehicles.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
