Summary

  • The OG Chapter 1 Season 2 map has been revealed with iconic locations like Tilted Towers making a comeback.
  • Fortnite OG has its own battle pass and seasons, mirroring the main game mode structure.

Players can now check out which named locations and landmarks will be making a comeback, as the Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2 map has been revealed. Fortnite fans have wanted to return to the OG map ever since it was removed with the launch of Chapter 2. Over the past couple of years, Epic Games tried to find ways to let gamers scratch this itch. In early 2023, it allowed custom map creators to come up with their own version of Athena Island, also known as the Chapter 1 map. However, it wasn't as good as many would've hoped because many weren't exact replicas and the Battle Royale aspect of it didn't work all that well in Creative mode.

A few months later, in November, Epic released the first edition of Fortnite OG, a shorter season of Battle Royale set on Athena Island; this only lasted for about four weeks before Chapter 5 replaced it as the main Battle Royale mode. Then, in June 2024, Fortnite Reload came out, giving players access to a revamped version of the island where they could kick off some of the nostalgia in a 40-player match, consisting of 10 squads and unlimited reboots until the late game.

Finally, in December 2024, Epic Games released a fully fledged game mode set on the original Chapter 1 map. Fortnite OG has its own Battle Pass and seasons just like the main game mode. Chapter 1 Season 1 started on December 6, and it'll come to an end on January 31. Season 2 will start on the same day, most likely a few hours after the end of the first season. Gamers have been anticipating this moment, as Chapter 1 Season 2 had some of the most iconic named locations in Fortnite. Those wondering what the map will look like won't have to wait any further, as Epic Games has shared it with the world at last.

Named Locations in Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2

  • Junk Junction
  • Haunted Hills
  • Pleasant Park
  • Anarchy Acres
  • Wailing Woods
  • Tomato Town
  • Lonely Lodge
  • Dusty Depot

  • Snobby Shores
  • Tilted Towers
  • Greasy Grove
  • Salty Springs
  • Retail Row

While some of the locations can already be found on the Season 1 map, there are quite a few additions. Fans will be happy to know that the famous Tilted Towers are once again returning to Fortnite, so those ready to battle it out in the early game know exactly where to drop.

According to Epic Games's post, Hot Drops are coming to Fortnite OG. Gamers should open their map before landing and find out which named locations have golden writing, as this means there will be Loot Drones flying around nearby. Players can shoot them down and grab the loot inside.
