Fortnite has revealed that pop singer Chappell Roan is coming to the game on February 5 as its next Festival Icon. Epic Games' battle royale title continues to deliver collaborations with major brands and personalities from TV shows, movies, and even the music industry. Since the launch of its Chapter 7 Season 1, Fortnite has announced a plethora of special appearances, from South Park characters to Kizuna Ai. Now, another big name is hopping on the Battle Bus.

Fortnite's Chapter 7 has made some notable additions to the game's skin library. Many fans have been excited to play as their favorite TV show characters like The Office's Scott and Dwight or Regular Show's Mordecai and Rigby, as well as top real-life celebrities like Kim Kardashian and LISA. There are rumors that Epic Games still has more big crossovers planned for the year, as Fortnite will reportedly collaborate with Overwatch and Solo Leveling. However, the game recently confirmed that its next biggest addition is actually none other than a Grammy winner.

Chappell Roan is Fortnite's Next Festival Icon for February 2026

Fortnite has announced that pop superstar Chappell Roan will have her own skins added to the game with the Thursday, February 5 update. Following the steps of Sabrina Carpenter and Gorillaz, Chappell Roan will be the Icon for Festival Season 13 and will receive two outfits. The first is a recreation of her iconic cowboy-style attire from her tour, referencing her famous song "Pink Pony Club," and comes with themed instruments such as a special keytar. Players can obtain this skin through the "Heartcore" Music Pass and can unlock a red version that removes the cowboy hat. A second medieval-armor skin named "Roan of Arc Outfit" will also be available in the game's shop and is a nod to Roan's 2024 VMAs performance. The news of the singer's first skins comes a year after Chappell Roan shared her wishes to be in Fortnite after her hit track "HOT TO GO!" Had been added as an emote.

Fans will also be able to purchase a brand-new Pink Pony sidekick, a new blade, a Pink Pony back bling, and a new emote for Chappell Roan's song "Femininomenon." It is worth noting that the Pink Pony back bling is reactive and changes colors when music is playing in-game. Roan's hit song "Good Luck, Babe" will be added as a Jam Track to Fortnite Festival as well, and the game's main stage will turn into a medieval castle after the update. The singer's songs “Good Luck, Babe!,” “HOT TO GO!,” and “The Giver” will also make a comeback.

This isn't the first time that Roan has crossed paths with the video game industry, as the superstar has been known to be a gaming fan. Aside from her liking of Fortnite, Chappell Roan once shared her Sims 2 playstyle with a fan, revealing that she even memorizes cheatcodes. Roan remains one of the top pop artists of recent years, and quite a few fans had been anticipating her joining Fortnite as a skin rather than just through emotes. Fortunately for players, it seems Epic Games has answered their wishes.

Almost 10 years since its release, Fortnite still stands as a fan-favorite in the live-service genre. The battle royale was among the most-played games of 2025, and its popularity is in no small part thanks to its collaborations. Players can expect more major crossovers to come in 2026. For example, Fortnite is teaming up with Honkai: Star Rail, an announcement that came as a surprise to some fans, but could become one of developer HoYoverse's biggest alliances. There are also rumors that Fortnite could collaborate with Ben 10 and Chainsaw Man, but players will have to wait for an official announcement.
