Fortunately, Epic Games didn't remove the trees from maps as Fortnite Status replied to the tweet, saying that the team is already investigating an issue that's causing details to not render properly on the Island while players are on board the Battle Bus. They also mentioned that the bug only happened on the PS5 version of the game.

Many players were concerned about the drastic graphical change at first, but they later expressed their gratitude to Fortnite Status for keeping them updated about an ongoing fix to the issue. Meanwhile, some Xbox players pointed out that they might also be experiencing issues, with one noting that there seemed to be fewer clouds in Fortnite now compared to before.

The tree rendering bug is just one of many issues that Epic Games devs are currently investigating and working on a fix for, according to their public Trello Board. Fortnite is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
