Fortnite is known for its incredible repertoire of skins. With thousands of skins to choose from, it can almost be overwhelming to decide which ones to buy and which ones to pass on. That's what makes the Battle Pass such a worthwhile deal. Getting multiple skins, multiple sets, and so much more for 1,000 V-Bucks, which costs less than the average skin, is an absolute steal.
Fortnite: Best Secret Skins, Ranked
Every Battle Pass in Fortnite features a secret skin that players can unlock, but which of these long-gone outfits can be considered the best to have?
In these Battle Passes, the best of the best skins are reserved for the highest honor, the final skin earned from the pass. Typically found on Tier 100, these skins typically follow the same trend. Intimidating, flashy, and worth the wait. Multiple chapters, and over thirty chapters later, it's time to decide which Tier 100 Battle Pass skins stand above the rest.
8 Hades
Soul Piercing
- Featured in: Chapter 5: Season 2
The idea of Fortnite having a Greek God-themed season was an exciting one, but seeing how far they went with their unique designs was truly something to behold. Hades has such a specific, uniquely Fortnite look to him. His gas mask creates an air of mystery around him, and the glowing green flames emanating from him give him a regal appearance with an undeniable ferocity.
Famously, Fortnite does well with its unique designs. The redesigns of the TMNT are a prime example of that, but taking something as ancient as the Greek Gods and putting a modern twist on them works wonders, and opens up so many ideas as to what they could do next. If they follow suit with what they did with Hades, any other pantheon is in good hands.
7 Tony Stark
Become the One and Only Iron Man
- Featured in: Chapter 2: Season 4
The very first collab tier 100 skin, Tony Stark, lived up to every expectation. Transformation emotes can make or break a skin, and Tony's is one of the many success stories. Being able to freely swap behind the billionaire playboy and his ironclad counterpart is a blast, especially when waiting on the starting island. It's as if he's suiting up for a big showdown.
Over the years, Iron Man has gotten other skins for players who weren't able to earn him during Chapter 2: Season 4. Iron Man Zero, Iron Man Mark 45, and the aptly named Iron Man have successfully snatched the baton and carried themselves into the future. Any version of Iron Man is a must-have for any Marvel fan and their Fortnite inventory.
6 Spider-Gwen
Amazing, Spectacular, And Everything In-Between
- Featured in: Chapter 3: Season 4
A perfect translation from the Spider-Verse films, Spider-Gwen is one of the coolest collab skins out there, let alone a tier 100. It feels as if she's lifted straight out of the film, with a one-to-one match in her unmasked style, and the shading all over her matching the film's aesthetics exactly. It's not only visually appealing, it's downright impressive.
The only downside with Spider-Gwen is that she's a tier 100 skin. For such a sought-after character, being lost to time, only being able to be used by players from that time, is such a shame. There are plenty of other Spider-People skins, even ones that match the Spider-Verse films, like Spider-Man (Miles Morales) and Spider-Man 2099, but none of them can beat this wallcrawler.
5 Omega
Ahead Of His Time
- Featured in: Chapter 1: Season 4
Omega is the sign of a true classic Fortnite player. Hailing from the season that gave players the infamous "search seven chests at Risky Reels" quest, players knew that fully decking out their Omega would be a difficult task. In the end, for anyone who was able to do just that, they'd tell you it was absolutely a worthwhile time investment.
Fortnite: Most Controversial Seasons
Fortnite is revered as arguably the best Battle Royale of all time, but across 7 years and over 35 seasons, not every season has been a hit.
Omega, especially a fully kitted-out Omega, which required over 80 levels, is one of the coolest-looking original Fortnite designs out there. Futuristic, yet retro, this skin gives off intimidation vibes like no other. Facing off against an Omega felt like a death sentence back in the day, and with the return of Omega in Fortnite OG: Season 4 through O.M.E.G.A. Suit Alpha, it brings back memories from a time long ago.
4 The Night Rose
Oni Of A Kind
- Featured in: Chapter 6: Season 1
The Night Rose has an elegance about her. She left her mark with a beastly battle as a boss in Chapter 6: Season 1, and now that she's redeemed in Chapter 6: Season 3, it's clear she's going to stay relevant for at least a little bit longer, and thank goodness. She has such a unique design, and gives off such an aura, she stands so tall amongst the greats.
Every part of her set adds to her charm. Her glider being a massive puppet, her backbling being a tiny marionette. It all works together to create a visual story that tells who she is for players who might not have been there to learn of her backstory through the actual quests. The Night Rose certainly has no strings on her.
3 The Reaper
The OG John Wick
- Featured in: Chapter 1: Season 3
The Reaper isn't the first tier 100 skin. That honor goes to Black Knight. He is, however, what put them on the map. Back in the early days of Fortnite, the Reaper was a skin to be feared. When it was harder to reach tier 100, seeing one in the lobby would send shivers up any new player's spine.
He may be a pastiche of John Wick, but it truly felt as if players were facing the boogeyman himself. This skin was a warning sign for anyone unfortunate to come across him on the map. If a player is to face The Reaper, they'd better be prepared.
2 Darth Vader
Dark Side Triumphs
- Featured in: Chapter 3: Season 3
It's Darth Vader. That's all that really needs to be said. It's truly a shame that so many players missed out on the opportunity to earn him, as Fortnite's rendition of the character is pitch-perfect. The way his cape flows when he jumps, the way his breaths echo out when using the Imperial March emote, really gives any player wanting to indulge in their dark side just what they want.
Every Season Of Fortnite, Ranked
Fortnite is one of the most popular games and part of this is due to the game reinvigorating itself with season updates.
In the time after, players have had the ability to buy a new version of Darth Vader, being Darth Vader Samurai. As objectively awesome as a samurai rendition of the most infamous Sith Lord is, nothing beats the original. It's almost fitting for him to be so elusive, for when a player encounters him in a match, they know they're in for a battle.
1 Midas
The Gold Standard of Original Characters
- Featured in: Chapter 2: Season 2
When the question of iconic Fortnite characters arises, Midas always seems to find himself at the top of those lists. Chapter 2: Season 2 came out swinging with some of the best original characters in the entire game. Meowscles, Skye, and of course, Midas. There's a reason why these skins have so many variations.
Midas can't be kept down. Getting remade, fused into other characters, a female variation with Marigold, and plenty of new outfits, he's always going to be there for new players to acquire, but the original is certainly the best. A slick outfit, a fun gimmick with any weapon he grabs turning into gold, and, of course, the pure intimidation factor, Midas easily takes the throne.
