The battle pass even includes the return of Fortnite's golden man himself, Midas. Unfortunately, some of the cosmetics added in the game's most recent patch have not been welcomed with open arms.

In a post on Reddit, ProdbyPyxlwhip shared the opinion that the Best in Show bundle, which was released on the same day as Fortnite's latest update, was poorly designed and overpriced. The four skins are each based on a specific breed of dog: Shiba Inu, Corgi, Dobermann, and French Bulldog. All of them sport similar professional attire and are priced at 1,200 V-Bucks a piece. Unfortunately, that price tag doesn't come with any accessories, like the back blings, harvesters, or wrap also offered in the Item Shop. To buy everything individually would cost a player 8,100 V-Bucks, but Epic Games has priced the entire bundle at 3,500 V-Bucks. For reference, a pack of 1,000 V-Bucks can be purchased for $8.99 from participating retailers.

They also made similar remarks about the dog bowl back blings and tennis ball harvesters. Several people accused the designs of being low-effort and predatory, though others pointed out that nobody was forced to purchase the cosmetics. Despite being advertised alongside every item in the bundle, Fortnite's Jam Track for "Who Let The Dogs Out" was not included, much to the disappointment of some fans who thought it was.

This isn't the only time Epic Games has courted controversy with the pricing of its cosmetics, as many fans have recently taken issue with the cost of Kicks in Fortnite. While some players have enjoyed the addition of sneakers, others are disappointed by the fact that certain Nike or Adidas Kicks can run upwards of 1,000 V-Bucks, making them more expensive than some of the game's full outfits. Despite a few hiccups with the pricing of skins in the Item Shop, a large portion of the community is feeling optimistic about the newest season of Fortnite.
