Fortnite introduced Reality Augments to its players at the start of Chapter 4, and they were a hit among the community. They're back once again for Chapter 4 Season 4, and this time around, gamers will have to decide which Augments will come in handy when preparing a heist, which is what this season is all about.

There are 38 Reality Augments in Fortnite, spread out across four separate categories, and gamers can come up with clever strategies by mixing and matching all of the available options. This guide will show players all the Reality Augments available in Chapter 4 Season 4 and how to use them in the popular battle royale game.

Updated on October 24, 2023, by Ashely Claudino: Although Chapter 4 Season 4 started off with only 18 Reality Augments, most players expected some of them to come and go as the season progressed. At the moment, players can choose from a list of a total of 38 Reality Augments. The end of Chapter 4 Season 4 is just around the corner, so there shouldn't be any changes made to the current options.

This guide has been updated. It no longer contains the Augments added for the anniversary event, but it does include those added with the annual Fortnitemares update.

How to Activate Reality Augments

Once the Battle Bus leaves the starting island, it'll take two minutes and 45 seconds for the Augment countdown to reach zero, and afterward, gamers be able to activate their first Reality Augment - this will happen two minutes before the first storm circle begins to close.

From then on, they'll be able to choose another Augment every couple of minutes. In total, players can activate up to four Reality Augments per match. When players have to select an Augment, they'll be able to choose between two random options, and if they're not satisfied, they can reroll and try to get better options. The first reroll is free, but the following rerolls will cost the player 100 gold bars.

Once gamers have activated a perk, they won't be able to deactivate it until the end of the match, so before making a decision, they should think wisely and come up with a strategy for the rest of the game, as certain Reality Augments can be rather powerful together.

Chapter 4 Season 4 Reality Augments

There are four separate Augment categories in Fortnite, and they all serve different purposes and will affect the player's match differently. Here are the available categories and their respective Reality Augments:

Combat

Combat Reality Augments can improve certain types of weapons, so gamers should keep an eye out for Augments that are related to their preferred weapon type.

#1	Light Fingers	The player reloads weapons that use light ammo faster.
#2	Sniper Striker	The player's snipers siphon health if they hit an opponent.
#3	Steady Hands	The player's Marksman Rifles have reduced recoil.
#4	SMG Signoff	The last four bullets on the player's SMGs deal bonus damage.
#5	First Assault	The player's assault rifles deal increased damage on the first shot.
#6	First Shotgun	The player's shotguns deal increased damage on the first shot. Does not increase maximum headshot damage.
#7	Scoped Salvo	The player's scoped weapons deal increased damage but have decreased fire rate.
#8	Sniper Surplus	The player's sniper rifles gain one extra ammo in their magazines.
#9	Reckless SMG Reload	The Player's SMGs reload faster when reloaded with an empty clip.
#10	Marksman Headshots	The player deals more damage when they hit headshots with a Marksman Rifle.
#11	Rushing Reload	Sprinting will slowly reload the player's equipped shotgun.

Game Changer

Game Changer Reality Augments can truly modify how a game goes for a player. However, some of them tend to be significantly rarer and won't appear as often.

#1	Rarity Check	The player siphons health on eliminations with common or uncommon weapons.
#2	Mud Warrior	The player regenerates health and partial shields while covered in mud.
#3	Shrub Mud	The player becomes covered in mud whenever they're in a big bush, a leaf pile, or tall grass.

Mobility & Scouting

The Mobility & Scouting Augment category makes it easier for players to explore the map by helping them move around faster.

#1	On the Go Bag	The player instantly gains mobility consumables, and they also gain additional mobility consumables when opening containers.
#2	Sprint Lines	The player gains Slap effect when using vines, rails, ziplines, and ascenders.
#3	Roaming Redeploy	The player can redeploy their glider whenever they're immune to fall damage, which means they can do this if they're exiting a vine, rail, zipline, or hopping on a Hop Flower.
#4	Storm Chase	The player has reduced stamina drain while tactical sprinting, and it's reduced further if they're in the storm.
#5	Jump Balloon	The player receives a Balloon when they jump.
#6	Bloodhound	Enemies hit by the player's Marksman Rifles and Sniper shots are revealed for a brief period of time.
#7	More Parkour	The player's energy regenerates briefly after mantling.
#8	Soaring Sprints	The player can jump much higher and they receive the Hop Rock effect while sprinting.
#9	Ninja Training	The player has increased movement speed while crouching.
#10	Icy Slide	The player gains an icy speed boost while sliding.

The On the Go Bag Reality Augment is not available in tournaments and competitive game modes.

Looting

Players can activate Looting Augments as they'll help them to obtain certain items in-game.

#2	Fast Fisher	The player can swim faster, and they will instantly loot a fishing hole if they swim through it.
#3	Ammo Drop	The player instantly gains ammo, and eliminated players drop additional ammo.
#4	Medium Ammo Acquired	The player instantly gains medium ammo, and they also gain additional medium ammo when opening containers.
#5	Explosive Surplus	The player instantly receives more Rocket ammo, and they'll receive additional Rocket ammo whenever they open a container.
#6	Game Time	The player receives the Pizza Party item and some Chug Splashes.
#7	Shell Slide	The player receives shotgun ammo whenever they slide.
#8	Revamped	The player instantly receives a Wood Stake Shotgun; this weapon also gives siphon if it hits an opposing player.
#9	Witchy Warrior	The player instantly receives a Witch Broom, and they experience a reduced cooldown for Witch Brooms.

The Explosive Surplus Reality Augment is not available in tournaments and competitive game modes.

As the season goes on more Reality Augments will be released as new updates roll out. As time goes on, this guide will be updated in order to stay accurate.
