Developer Epic Games is set to celebrate Fortnite's fifth birthday starting on Friday, September 23 at 9am EDT. It is at that time that a batch of Birthday Quests will go live, giving players the chance to earn several festive cosmetic rewards. For those fans that would like to get a better understanding of what they can expect from the 5th Birthday Quests in Fortnite, a complete list of its tasks and rewards can be found in what follows.

To note, the Birthday Quests will only be available until Tuesday, September 27 at 9am EDT. While four days is certainly more than enough time to complete all the challenges, Fortnite fans should not put things off for too long. Indeed, players that do not heed this advice may find that they have missed out on the opportunity to add the 5th Birthday rewards to their lockers.

While these quests cannot currently be commented upon with complete certainly, as they are not yet available in-game, they are nearly identical to tasks that have appeared in the past. As such, it is reasonable to believe that fans will complete these quests in the same way that they addressed those past challenges, and here is what they should expect:

  • In the past, Birthday Presents in Fortnite have shown up in chests and as floor loot, and players should thus target locations with a lot of those loot sources. Lustrous Lagoon, Rave Cave, and Tilted Towers all fit that description, and fans should simply throw their presents repeatedly when they find them.
  • Birthday Cakes in Fortnite typically appear at named locations, which makes them quite easy to track down. If these desserts are implemented in the same way that they have been in previous years, then they will be surrounded by slices that players can interact with in order to complete the quest.
  • As with Birthday Presents, Balloons in Fortnite can usually be found in chests and as floor loot. Players are thus advised to again focus their searches on locations with an abundance of loot, and they may even stumble across some of these items when looking for presents. With some balloons in hand, players should use them to gain some additionally verticality on their jump and resolve the associated challenge.
