According to Forspoken, Points of Interest are spots that can be found all over the map of Athia. The Points will present players with a challenge that must be completed in order to gain a reward. Most of the time, the reward is worth it as it is a stat boost. All Points of Interest will help boost Frey’s abilities to facilitate her journey in Athia.
There are different kinds of Points of Interest found in Forspoken and some offer challenges easier than others, but still rewarding nonetheless. The first area players encounter upon leaving Cipal City in chapter three is The Barren Plains, which has numerous Points of Interest.
Points Of Interest Location In The Barren Plains In Forspoken
The Points of Interest that can be found in The Barren Plains are:
Mulberry Fount
- Challenge: Jump into the Fount of Blessing.
- Reward: The Leap Spell.
The moment players leave Cipal City during chapter three in Forspoken, head southeast along the river path to reach a purple-glowing rock pile. In front of it is the Mulberry Fount.
Pilgrim’s Refuge
- Challenge: Enter through the door.
- Reward: A new Fast Travel Point, Spellbook Challenges, and Archive Additions.
Right next to the Mulberry Fount (on the right side), is an old wall that once belonged to a castle. Use Parkour to climb it and The Barren Plains Refuge can be seen immediately.
The Campground
- Challenge: Eliminate all enemies (Breakzombies).
- Reward: Magic +1.
From the Refuge, walk slightly northeast to find the Campground. Once all Breakzombies are defeated, open the chest to get extra rewards.
Mutant
- Challenge: Defeat Altered Mylodon.
- Reward: Lambent Garland x4.
Head north from The Campground to fight the Altered Mylodon. This beast might cause a problem for early-game players. The best method to beat it is by using Sila’s Magic obtained after the fifth chapter in Forspoken.
Monument To Strength
- Challenge: Destroy the rocks surrounding the Monument.
- Reward: Defense +5.
After defeating the Mutant, go west and climb a small mountain to find the Monument. Break the rocks blocking the statue using Attack Spells then interact with it.
Monument To Wisdom
- Challenge: Complete Flashback: The Fallen Temple by defeating all enemies within the time limit.
- Reward: Fervid Cluster and Mana (the amount depends on players’ scores).
Upon receiving the Stat boost from the Monument, use Parkour to run northeast to a faraway mountain where the Flashback: The Fallen Temple is situated. Sadly, it can’t be reached at the beginning of the game as it needs the Zip Spell in Forspoken, obtained from a later chapter.
Ruins Of Plebus
- Challenge: Search the area for new Archive Addition.
- Reward: Archive Additions.
The Ruins of Plebus are very close to the Monument to Wisdom previously encountered, just go north to reach it.
Locked Labyrinth: East
- Challenge: Clear the Locked Labyrinth floors and defeat the final boss.
- Reward: Orison Necklace.
The Locked Labyrinth: East can be found in the southeastern parts of The Barren Plains. It can be easily reached by heading east from The Campground in Forspoken.
