For all the party-based, PvP multiplayer enthusiasts, Foamstars’ launch is just around the corner, and there couldn’t be a better time to refresh your memory on the release time of the Splatoon-like PS exclusive game. Based on all the promotional materials, Foamstars promises a frenzy of fast-paced online battles that will require a lot of creative ways of using foam to tackle tough situations.

It is certainly a unique direction for Square Enix, and the longevity of this third-person cooperative shooter will only be known a few months into the game. However, as things stand, players are ready to jump into all the foam-blasting fun, but there are some things they should note about the release time, console compatibility, and subscription prerequisites before they can hop on with their friends.

Who Can Play It?

Foamstars will be a free-to-play shooter on release for all PS Plus subscribers. Essentially, any player holding the subscription, regardless of the tier, will be able to opt into Foamstars without any cost to bear. Thus, it will launch on the PS4 and PS5 consoles and be free for all PS Plus Tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. As long as PS Plus members are able to redeem Foamstars between the period of February 6th and March 4th and continue to have a valid PS Plus subscription, they will be able to enjoy the colorful team-based shooter.

For non-PS Plus members, one month after the game is released as a PS Plus freebie, they will be able to purchase it starting on March 5 for $29.99. Since the Square Enix-published game is exclusive to PS consoles, there currently seem to be no plans to launch the game on Xbox or PC hardware. Whether this is a timed-exclusivity deal similar to Final Fantasy VII Remake, we just have to wait and see, but there is no news regarding that from the publishing team as of this moment.

Foamstars Release Time

Foamstar, unfortunately, does not have a preload function, so players will need to pay close attention to the countdown to launch. The exact release time for Foamstars is 12 PM Eastern Time on February 6th, which is 9 AM for all the folks acclimated to the Pacific Time zone.

European players looking forward to inviting friends to their party will need to wait until 6 PM Central European Time. Finally, players in Asia and Oceania can get their hands on Foamstars the earliest, with launch times of 10 AM Japan Time and 4 AM Australian Eastern Time.
