Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn gives players a lot of freedom with how they customize Nor throughout the game. There are many different axes, pistols, and rifles to choose from, with different axes offering unique bonuses and most firearms acting differently.

On top of the chosen weapons, players can also choose how they invest their reputation into three different skill trees. While all of these are gameplay changes, Nor also has her uniform and armor, which can be changed out to change her appearance, but do uniforms do anything else?

How To Change Outfits In Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn

Nor's appearance can change based on the armor and outfits the player chooses to equip. Her axe and pistol will also change appearance based on the one equipped and can be seen just about all the time during the game, with rifles only appearing whenever they are being used. In the inventory, armor appears in the three slots to the top left of the screen, with outfits appearing in the top right two slots around the backpack.

Finding new armor will require exploration and looting chests, which new outfits can be purchased at any coffee shop. Coffee Shops are the center of any hamlet, with new ones being discovered and needing to be cleared out as you progress through the game. Outfits come in coats and trousers and can be purchased with Reputation depending on the rarity of the item.

What Do Uniforms Do In Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn

Uniforms cost Reputation to buy and come in various rarities that determine the price. Despite how it seems, uniforms don't offer any in-game bonus and are purely cosmetic. They do offer players creativity, with the higher-rarity uniforms looking more detailed. Armor has set bonuses, with players getting additional bonuses for wearing all armor pieces of the same set, but uniform pieces don't have any incentive, letting players mix and match to their heart's content.

Armor Synergy Bonus Explained In Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn

The Player Wearing The Sapper Helmet

All armor pieces come with an individual bonus, with Nor getting the bonus simply by wearing the armor. All armor comes in sets, with there being three armor pieces for each set and an Armor Synergy Bonus for each set. To get the Armor Synergy Bonus, you only need to equip two out of three of the armor pieces within the set, with no additional reward being applied for equipping all three. This does give players the freedom to branch out with the third armor piece to focus on a different perk increase and not use the one from a set that doesn't match your build.
