Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, like most games, has several skill trees to help players progress through the adventure smoothly. In addition to increasing ease, the skill trees also let players experiment with different abilities.

This is beneficial in the grand scheme of things, as restricting players to a single build can tire them out and make them lose interest in the game. In Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, players will have access to a total of three skill trees. This guide will help players pick the best skills that are beneficial in the game's early stages.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn— Skill Trees

As previously stated, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn has three skill trees. These are:

  • Powder: Focused on sidearm skills
  • Steel: Improves Nor's skills with the ax
  • Magic: Enhances Enki's combat prowess

If players like a particular skill tree more, they should fully focus on it. But, if they are unsure, dabbling in all three can be fun. Players can find the best early skills in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn in the table below.

What It Does

Charged Shot

  • Powder
  • 2,500 Reputation
  • Nor can charge up a shot, which can take down weaker enemies in a single hit. This can potentially be great for farming reputation.

Deflection

  • Steel
  • 3,750 Reputation
  • The skill is simple yet a must-have in your arsenal. It allows Nor to deflect incoming enemy projectiles. The process is the same as a parry. Just when the projectile is about to hit, press the L1 button (PlayStation), or the LB button (Xbox).

Rend Spirit

  • Magic
  • 2,500 Reputation
  • Rend utilizes Enki's power to suspend an enemy in midair. This can be triggered by pressing and holding the Triangle button (PlayStation), and the Y button (Xbox). Rend helps Enki build his Withering gauge quickly.

Taunt

  • Magic
  • 3,750 Reputation
  • Taunt, as the name implies, causes Enki to draw the attention of enemies. It is extremely useful when you are facing a horde of enemies. Since this is a passive skill, players don't have to press any buttons to use it.

Destructive Descent

  • Powder
  • 5,250 Reputation
  • Destructive Descent is a heavy attack that can only be used when Nor is airborne. To execute the attack, jump in the air and press the R1 button (PlayStation), or RB button (Xbox) to plunge. This will create a shockwave that inflicts regular damage and builds up stun on the enemies. The strength of the attack is proportional to the plunging distance. The attack consumes black powder and has a radius of 5 meters. According to the in-game information, its damage is 60 and its stun is 30.

Dodge Attack

  • Steel
  • 2,500 Reputation
  • This is an active skill that allows players to launch a melee attack when they perform a dodge or a powder dodge.

While it is possible to reset skills, players will lose some of the reputation that they had originally spent.
