As the developers of The First Berserker: Khazan continue to address player feedback, a new hotfix has been released on all platforms, with the update focusing on the game's frequent freezing and crashing issues. Many have reported that the RPG freezes after a player switches weapons quickly during an attack, though this should no longer be the case. Additionally, The Last Berserker: Khazan will no longer crash after players earn the "Stand Alone" achievement, which occurs during the title's credits roll. The game's developers also shared a way for players to recover save data following a crash, along with helpful tutorials on how to send log files on and save files on PC.

In early April, it was announced that The First Berserker: Khazan would get a free DLC pack in May, though no concrete details have been revealed. This isn't the only new content slated to be released for the hardcore Soulslike, with developer Neople hoping to continue supporting Khazan going into 2026. Players are invited to continue sharing feedback going forward, with the team dedicated to addressing any problems the fanbase is experiencing with the popular title.

2025 is a great year for new Soulslikes, with Elden Ring: Nightreign coming in May and the Lies of P: Overture DLC aiming for a summer release. The First Berserker: Khazan has attracted plenty of attention as a new IP, but it will also be competing with other fresh faces like Soulframe, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Ballad of Antara, and the recently released Mandragora.

Error Fixes

Fixed an issue where the character or game client would freeze when quickly switching weapons during an attack.
Fixed an issue where the game would crash when entering the ending credits after completing the “Stand Alone” achievement following the April 22 update.

3. Select your most recent save file. (Up to 3 backup files can be created.)

4. A message saying “Save data successfully retrieved” will confirm completion.
