A new hotfix for The First Berserker: Khazan is now live on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, addressing some major issues players have been experiencing. Since its release in late March, The First Berserker: Khazan has seen its fair share of patches, with the developers working diligently to polish the player experience and eliminate any glaring problems with the hardcore action RPG.
After quickly going gold, The First Berserker: Khazan was met with glowing reviews following its release on March 27, with many players applauding its Soulslike combat system, unique summoning system, and stunning art style. Unfortunately, it has also seen its fair share of frustrating bugs and odd design choices, with the game lacking a pause button and many players still coping with frequent crashes and freezing issues. As April comes to an end, the developers at Neople have released yet another patch to address the more common user complaints with the RPG.
The First Berserker: Khazan Player Makes Discovery After 70 Hours
An avid player of The First Berserker: Khazan makes a surprising discovery after playing the hardcore action game for nearly 70 hours.
As the developers of The First Berserker: Khazan continue to address player feedback, a new hotfix has been released on all platforms, with the update focusing on the game's frequent freezing and crashing issues. Many have reported that the RPG freezes after a player switches weapons quickly during an attack, though this should no longer be the case. Additionally, The Last Berserker: Khazan will no longer crash after players earn the "Stand Alone" achievement, which occurs during the title's credits roll. The game's developers also shared a way for players to recover save data following a crash, along with helpful tutorials on how to send log files on and save files on PC.
In early April, it was announced that The First Berserker: Khazan would get a free DLC pack in May, though no concrete details have been revealed. This isn't the only new content slated to be released for the hardcore Soulslike, with developer Neople hoping to continue supporting Khazan going into 2026. Players are invited to continue sharing feedback going forward, with the team dedicated to addressing any problems the fanbase is experiencing with the popular title.
2025 is a great year for new Soulslikes, with Elden Ring: Nightreign coming in May and the Lies of P: Overture DLC aiming for a summer release. The First Berserker: Khazan has attracted plenty of attention as a new IP, but it will also be competing with other fresh faces like Soulframe, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Ballad of Antara, and the recently released Mandragora.
