Each region of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has a classified intel that offers a challenging mini-boss for players to battle after completing some of the World Intel of that region. These classified intel battles require players to find and scan the various Lifesprings within that region, with the exact number required varying from region to region.

King Zu is the classified intel for the Nibel region that goes by Avian Tyrant Intel on the map. Even at a higher level, this boss is no pushover and will require players to stay mobile to avoid its devastating fire area of effect attacks.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Best Summons

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth gives players many powerful summons to call on in battle; here are some of the best ones.

Where To Find King Zu (Avian Tyrant Intel)

The King Zu's Location On The Map

King Zu is found in the Nibel region, which is reached during Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's eleventh chapter. Upon arriving in the region players will first need to obtain a Chocobo for that region as it will unlock a lot of the map to explore thanks to the Chocojet ability. Players will then need to find and scan all four of the Lifesprings in the region to get the message from Chadley about the Avian Tyrant's location. The King Zu is found on the westernmost island of the map, with the arena for the fight making up the entire southern section of the island.

Proportional Damage and Stone

King Zu will fight mostly from the air, making ranged fighters such as Aerith and Barret great options for the fight. The weakness of Lightning is something players will need to exploit during its Swan Song attack with it best coming from Aerith thanks to her high magic damage. Most of King Zu's attacks will cover a wide area and won't always come directly from the boss like its tornadoes. This will make constant dodging or blocking a necessity during the multi-phase.

Swan Song is its most powerful attack but will also leave the biggest opening for players to exploit. Concentrate as many lightning spells as possible on the creature's wings as this will stop the attack, knock it to the ground, and leave it pressured. Staying spread out can help your party counter a lot of the area of effect attacks such as the one where it creates a ring of fire around itself. Should a party member get caught inside, keep them there to either block or dodge but don't try to exit the circle as the damage received would ultimately be more than they will receive by staying inside the circle with the boss.
