- With weapons like Moogle Kaboom and Moogle Magic, Cait Sith can summon powerful effects in battle using the Megaphones acquired in different regions.
Cait Sith will be the last playable character to join the party in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. He won’t be the last of the main cast to join though, as Cid and Vincent are in the game too. Visually, Cait Sith has changed from the original game, as he mostly runs around in his cat form now.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Every Broadsword Ability Cloud Can Learn, Ranked
Broadswords are Cloud's go-to weapon in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth; here's every ability you can learn from them.
Cait Sith still uses Megaphones in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and the Moogle he rode constantly before is now a summon in battle. Now, each Megaphone weapon in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has an ability attached, this is how they compare to each other..
For those sensitive to spoilers, some of these entries may reveal the location of Cait Sith's weapon.
7 Roll O’ The Dice (Yellow Megaphone)
Roll Them Bones And Inflict Damage
- Location: Cait Sith’s Default
Cait Sith will start with two Megaphone weapons when he joins the party in Chapter 9 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. His standardized one, the Yellow Megaphone, is like his Buster Sword. It will give him the Roll o’ the Dice ability to use in battle.
Roll o’ the Dice is like a retooled version of one of Cait Sith’s Limit Breaks from the original game. Cait Sith will toss dice and damage will depend on what numbers they land on. Sometimes the attack can be devastating and other times it can fall flat.
6 Fortune Telling (Iron Megaphone)
Perform A Random Attack
- Location: Cait Sith’s Default
The Iron Megaphone is the other default starting weapon for Cait Sith. With it, he can learn Fortune Telling, which produces a random effect during battle. Most of the effects are based on damage, so it plays similarly to Roll o’ the Dice just a bit more flashy.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Every Knuckles Ability Tifa Can Learn, Ranked
In Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Tifa learns quite a few great Knuckles abilities. Here are the best ones.
Fortune Telling is slightly the better of the two attacks, although they are both based on luck. They both function better than the randomness Cait Sith produced in the original game, which is a nice gameplay change for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
5 Lady Luck (Gjallarhorn)
Land A Critical Attack Easily
- Location: Nibel Region (Esoteric Secrets of the Elders Side Quest)
In the Nibel region of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, players can find the Chocobo Sage to get their aquatic Chocobo. Later, he will give players a side quest called Esoteric Secrets of the Elders which involves getting tufts of Chocograss. If players get 45 tufts of Chocograss, then the Chocobo Sage will reward them with the Gjallarhorn weapon for Cait Sith.
Gjallarhorn will teach him Lady Luck which is a party-based buff ability. This will increase everyone’s critical hit rating, meaning that it will be easiest for characters to land a critical attack for a lot of damage. It’s Cait Sith’s only support ability.
4 Moogle Kaboom (Red Megaphone)
Turn Moogles Into Living Bombs
- Location: Gongaga Village
Cait Sith will always enter battles as just the cat version of himself. Once a single ATB bar is filled, players can summon a giant Moogle for Cait Sith to ride. Even after summoning it, Cait Sith can hop off and the Moogle will act on its own accord, sort of like a decoy.
With the Red Megaphone weapon, acquired in Gongaga Village, players can learn Moogle Kaboom. This will turn the Moogle into a ticking time bomb that will explode upon impact. Players can summon a replacement Moogle during the same battle, so it’s not a big deal for Cait Sith.
3 Moogle Mine (Resounding Megaphone)
Launch A Bunch Of Mines To Stagger Enemies
- Location: Gongaga Airstrip
There are actually two Megaphones that players can obtain in the Gongaga region. The second is in the Gongaga Airstrip, called the Resounding Megaphone, which is where players can meet Cid for the first time.
It will teach Cait Sith the Moogle Mine ability, which will randomly launch a bunch of mines around the battlefield. Enemies that step on a mine will have their Stagger meter increased as they take on damage too. Cait Sith must be riding the Moogle to use this ability.
2 Moogle Magic (Crystal Megaphone)
A Secret Way To Summon
- Location: Cosmo Canyon
The Crystal Megaphone can be obtained in the Cosmo Canyon region. It has the Moogle Magic ability attached to it, which Cait Sith also needs to be on a Moogle for this one. It will use a Summon ability at random, depending on the Summon Materia equipped by Cait Sith.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Every Gun-Arms Ability Barrett Can Learn, Ranked
Barrett has access to a few Gun-Arms abilities in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but not all of them are equally useful or powerful. Here's how they rank.
For example, with the Summon Shiva, Cait Sith can use Heavenly Strike or Icicle Impact. Cait Sith can use Moogle Magic multiple times in battle, but every time he does, there will be a longer cooldown time, since these Summon abilities are very strong.
1 Moogle Knuckle (Golden Megaphone)
A Simple But Impactful Punch
- Location: Shinra Manor
Cait Sith’s final weapon, the Golden Megaphone, can be obtained in the Shinra Mansion. It can be unlocked during the mission wherein he leads Barret and Aerith around the vicinity. It will teach Cait Sith the Moogle Knuckle ability, which is another one that requires him to be riding the Moogle.
Moogle Knuckle is a simple punch attack that is less flashy than Cait Sith’s other moves, but the impact this punch has on enemies will be critical, and it can Stagger them too. Captain Falcon would assuredly be jealous of this punch and Cait Sith would fit into the Super Smash Bros. Universe rather well. He’s certainly a better fit than the gloomy loner that is Cloud, who did get into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
