Vault Oneiron is one of the coolest Treasure Dungeons in Final Fantasy 14, and there are plenty of exclusive rewards within that cannot be obtained anywhere else. Vault Oneiron has one of the most sought-after mounts in Final Fantasy XIV, but there are also other items to obtain, like rare crafting materials and Orchestrion Rolls.
Some of the best loot in Vault Oneiron is locked behind a unique minigame, however, and the drop rates for the coolest stuff are just as low as they are in FF14's other Treasure Dungeons. You'll also need a full party of eight players to comfortably clear the Treasure Dungeon, but some players can pull it off with smaller parties. Here's everything you can earn in Vault Oneiron in Final Fantasy 14.
FFXIV: All Custom Deliveries Quest Guide
Final Fantasy 14's custom deliveries are one of the best ways to boost up your character's artisan jobs, so don't miss out on them.
How to Start Vault Oneiron in Final Fantasy 14
Like other Treasure Dungeons, Vault Oneiron has a very low chance of appearing after using a treasure map to find and open a chest. Vault Oneiron is specifically tied to level 100 Gargantuaskin Treasure Maps obtained from gathering nodes in Living Memory, the final zone of the Dawntrail expansion.
Once you decipher a Gargantuaskin Treasure Map and track down the marked chest, there is a small chance for a Vault Oneiron portal to appear. At that point, you and your party can jump inside for the chance to earn even more loot.
FFXIV Vault Oneiron Loot Table
These are all the potential drops you can get from Vault Oneiron in Final Fantasy 14:
- Yan Horn
- Mini Yan
- Gimme Kitten
- Summerlight Linen
- Etched in Memory Orchestrion Roll
When you enter Vault Oneiron, three outrunner screens will cycle through a series of images like a slot machine. Depending on the images they land on, different creatures will be summoned for you to battle. The rarest Vault Oneiron rewards only come from certain image combinations.
If you want the Yan Horn to get the Yan mount, for example, you need to get lucky and roll three treasure chest icons. This will start the Fever Dream minigame, which is the key to earning both the Yan minion and mount if you manage to perform well enough. On the other hand, some of the images can result in your party getting booted from the dungeon entirely, so you just have to hope for the best.
Even if you don't encounter the Vault Oneiron portal when farming maps in Final Fantasy XIV, you'll still get the chest rewards for following the directions on your Gargantuaskin Treasure Map. These chests contain the same drops as the ones from Br'aaxskin Treasure Maps, though, so there aren't any new items to earn outside of the Treasure Dungeon.
