Final Fantasy 14 has announced the return of its annual Valentine's Day holiday, dubbed Valentione's Day, which will offer new rewards for participating players to add to their cosmetic collections. The romance-themed Final Fantasy 14 event will begin in early February, giving players two weeks to check out the in-game festivities.
The return of Valentione's Day comes at a busy time for Final Fantasy 14. Days after the event begins, Final Fantasy 14 will host the 85th episode of Letter from the Producer LIVE on February 7. The Live Letter will reveal details about the upcoming Patch 7.2, including its title, a potential release window, and new details regarding upcoming features such as the next Arcadion raid tier. The Live Letter will only include Japanese audio, but all the informative slides will have both Japanese and English text for players to read. Final Fantasy 14's 7.2 is expected to launch in the early spring, though the exact date is unknown at the time of writing.
Square Enix May Pursue Legal Action Against Final Fantasy 14 Mod

As for in-game activities that players can enjoy while waiting for Patch 7.2, Final Fantasy 14 has shared details about a returning event. According to Square Enix's special site, the 2025 edition of Valentione's Day is titled "With Roses from the Heart." The romantic holiday event starts on February 3 at 3:00 AM Eastern, and ends on February 17, at 9:59 AM Eastern. Much like previous Final Fantasy 14 holidays, including the Starlight Celebration and All Saints' Wake, this year's Valentione's Day festivities will occur in the forest city of Gridania, at Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre. Players level 15 and up, including Free Trial characters, can participate by accepting a new quest called "I Promise You A Rose Garden" from an Elezen NPC named Astrid. The new Valentione's Day quest should take just a few minutes for players to finish.
