Summary

  • Final Fantasy 14 introduced new exclusive outfits for players to buy with real money from the Online Store.
  • The Far Eastern Performer's Attire and Warden's Attire sets offer unique designs and dye channels.
  • The game also features events like Hatching-Tide and the Callback Campaign for players to enjoy.

On April 16, Final Fantasy 14 released The Warden's Attire and the Far Eastern Performer's Attire sets for players to obtain, though both are exclusive to the game's Online Store and can only be purchased with real money. Square Enix also stated that one part of the Far Eastern Performer's outfit will not show on certain Final Fantasy 14 character models.

The new outfits came as Final Fantasy 14 undergoes two different events for players to participate in. The Callback Campaign allows Final Fantasy 14 players to invite friends back to Eorzea who have not logged in for at least 90 days, with invitations granting eligible players seven days of free game time and Silver Chocobo Feathers to spend on catch-up gear. Additionally, the Hatching-Tide event has returned to Gridania. After completing two short Hatching-Tide quests within the forest city, players will earn the Archon Egg Parasol for their fashion accessory collections. The Easter-inspired event runs until April 24.

Alongside a Hatching-Tide item sale, the Final Fantasy 14 Online Store has a few additional cosmetic items for players to purchase. The Warden's Attire is directly inspired by Azeyma, one of Eorzea's patron deities. Azeyma and other members of The Twelve were featured as bosses in Endwalker's Myths of the Realm alliance raid series, where players faced The Warden herself in the third battle of the Aglaia raid instance. Azeyma's attire is available for $18, though additional taxes and fees may apply. The Warden's hairstyle is listed as a separate $5 purchase, so Final Fantasy 14 player characters who want to look like Azeyma must spend a combined $23.

Final Fantasy 14's Online Store Launches Two New Outfits

Final Fantasy 14 fans can also collect an ensemble inspired by Korean folk music performances, as the Far Eastern Performer's Attire costs $18. The four-piece set includes a mask that can be placed either on the wearer's face or to the side. Unlike The Warden's Wreath and hairstyle, the Far Eastern Performer's Mask will not be displayed on Viera or Hrothgar player character models. Each armor piece from The Warden's Attire and the Far Eastern Performer's Attire has two dye channels for players to use. Along with the new cosmetic sets, Hatching-Tide rewards from past years will be discounted until the holiday ends on April 24.

Two days before the sale ends, Final Fantasy 14 will launch Patch 7.21, which will introduce Cosmic Exploration. Between the new items and the breadth of Patch 7.2 content, April remains a busy time for Final Fantasy 14 and its players.
