Summary
- Final Fantasy 14 players found a mistranslation in the Moogle Treasure Trove event's Minimog Challenges.
- Zadnor is incorrectly listed as one of the locations for the event.
- Instead, players must go to the Bozjan Southern Front and complete any critical engagement that appears on the map at random intervals.
Final Fantasy 14 players discovered that the ongoing Moogle Treasure Trove event had a strange mistranslation, as one of the weekly Minimog Challenges incorrectly listed completing a critical engagement in the Zadnor zone. Final Fantasy 14 players deduced that the objective instead requires being on the Bozjan Southern Front, despite both zones being part of the "Save The Queen" field operations from Shadowbringers.
The Bozjan Southern Front is a bleak warzone, as the conflict between the Bozjan Resistance and the Garlean Empire escalated during Shadowbringers. Led by several Hrothgar rebels, the Resistance enlisted the Warrior of Light and their allies against the Imperial forces as part of the "Save The Queen" field operation quest series. The operation was split between two open-field zones and three raid instances, such as Delubrum Reginae. Unlocking "Save The Queen" requires Final Fantasy 14 players to complete the "Return To Ivalice" alliance raid trilogy from Stormblood, along with main story progress in Shadowbringers.
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is a Big Hit
Final Fantasy PIxel Remaster surpasses an impressive milestone, with the franchise as a whole also earning a new achievement.
However, players looking to return to Bozja for the ongoing Moogle Treasure Trove event may encounter some confusion with an objective. According to a Lodestone post by Square Enix, Final Fantasy 14 has an issue in which Zadnor is incorrectly listed as one of the locations for the event's final Minimog Challenges. Instead, players must go to the Bozjan Southern Front and complete any critical engagement that appears on the map at random intervals. The in-game menu for the Minimog Challenge correctly showed artwork of the Bozjan Southern Front and prompted players to share tips on social media and avoid confusion.
Final Fantasy 14’s Minimog Challenge Incorrectly States Zadnor Is Required
The Minimog Challenges are the same for all players and reward 10 Irregular Tomestones of Phantasmagoria upon completion. Alternatively, Final Fantasy 14 players who have not unlocked any "Save The Queen" content can earn the same reward by finding and deciphering a Treasure Map that characters level 36 and up can complete. Treasure Maps can be found by gatherers or purchased on the in-game Market Board for varying amounts of Gil.
This mistranslation is the second notable error that Final Fantasy 14 players have encountered since the start of 2025. Patch 7.16's role quest finale had a translation bug that caused some in-game dialogue to appear in Japanese rather than in English. The bug did not appear in the French or German translations and was hotfixed several days later via an update.
Final Fantasy 14 players have until 6:00 AM Eastern on Monday, March 24, to complete any outstanding Moogle Treasure Trove objectives. At that point, the game's servers will go into a 24-hour maintenance period ahead of the long-awaited Seekers of Eternity update.
