Sharlayan Rebellion
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
This hairstyle, based on Alisaie, can only be acquired by buying Brand-new Alisaie’s Attire on the Mogstation.
Liberating Locks
Usable by all races except Hrothgar. Female only.
This hairstyle is based on Lyse, as is the iconic outfit that completes the Lyse's Leadership Attire set. The new hair option can only be acquired by buying it.
Master & Commander
Usable by all races except Hrothgar and Viera. Available for male and female characters.
Aymeric’s Attire set offers players the chance to dress as the prominent ishgardian elezen Aymeric, and to get a hairstyle inspired by his.
Scion Special Issue
Usable by all races except Hrothgar and Viera. Female only.
The first edition of the Scion’s Special Issue comes with Minfilia’s Attire set, and as suggested by the set’s name, is based on the Antecedent’s appearance and hairstyle.
Scion Special Issue II
Usable by all races except Hrothgar and Viera. Male only.
The second Scion Special Issue gives players the hair of one of FF14's most beloved NPCs: Thancred. It can be acquired by buying Thancred’s Modish Attire.

Scion Special Issue III
Usable by all races except Hrothgar and Viera. Female only.
To look a little like Y’shtola by wearing her hairstyle, players must acquire the Y’shtola Modish Attire set.
Pulse
Usable by all races. Different versions for male and female characters (not available for female Hrothgar).
This hairstyle comes with the Lightning’s Attire and Snow’s Attire sets, which adapts the looks of the characters from Final Fantasy 13 to the MMO. It is a single hairstyle, in which female characters get the hair of FF13's main character, Lightning, and male characters get Snow’s hair.
Eternal Bonding
Usable by all races except Hrothgar and Viera. Different versions for male and female characters.
After buying the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, the players acquire new attire, emote, furnishing, and hairstyles, on top of other things. While it’s necessary to get one of the Eternal Bond packs (Promise of Innocence, Promise of Passion, or Promise of Devotion) from the online store, only the last two actually require spending any money. The Promise of Innocence (Standard) pack is acquired through the store, but it costs nothing.
Hairstyles Acquired From The Gold Saucer
Adventure
Usable by all races. Different versions for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
This hairstyle, based on the 2015 hairstyle contest, can be bought in the Gold Saucer from the Modern Aesthetics Saleswoman (X: 5.4, Y: 6.5) for 14 MGP.
Rainmaker
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
Previously available through event vendors and later unavailable for a long time, the Rainmaker hairstyle became one of the permanent rewards that can be acquired in the Gold Saucer. It can be bought for 5,000 MGP from the Modern Aesthetics Saleswoman in the Gold Saucer (X: 5.4, Y: 6.5).
Curls
Usable by all races except Viera and Hrothgar. Available for male and female characters.
This hairstyle can be acquired through the Gold Saucer Attendant (X: 5.1, Y: 6.7). It can be found under the “Other” option in Prize Exchange III, and requires a little more MGP, as it costs 9,600 MGP.
Great Lengths
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
This hairstyle can be acquired through the Gold Saucer Attendant (X: 5.1, Y: 6.7). It can be found under the “Other” option in Prize Exchange III, and costs 30,000 MGP - so participating on the Fashion Report might be advisable for those trying to earn some MGP.
Ponytails
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
This hairstyle can be acquired through the Gold Saucer Attendant (X: 5.1, Y: 6.7). It can be found under the “Other” option in Prize Exchange III, and costs 8,000 MGP.
Lexen-Tails
Usable by all races except Hrothgar. Different versions for male and female characters.
This hairstyle can be acquired through the Gold Saucer Attendant (X: 5.1, Y: 6.7). It can be found under the “Other” option in Prize Exchange III, and costs 50,000 MGP.
- This one requires extra steps, however: it can only be purchased after you complete the quest “The City of Lost Angels” and the Alliance Raid The Orbonne Monastery.

Hairstyles From Special Events
Lucian Locks
Usable by all races except Viera and Hrothgar. Available for male and female characters.
This hair is based on the main character of Final Fantasy 15, Noctis. It can only be acquired by buying it from the Ironworks Vendor (X: 5.2, Y: 6.3) at the Gold Saucer for 20,000 MGP when the event “A Nocturne for Heroes” is active.
Strife
Usable by all races except Viera and Hrothgar. Available for male and female characters.
This hairstyle is based on Cloud Strife, from Final Fantasy 7, but unfortunately, it can’t be obtained currently. It was given as a reward in some contests, but it can’t be bought or unlocked otherwise.
Hairstyles Acquired From Drops
All of these hairstyles can also be bought for gil through the Market Board, with varying prices.
A Close Shave
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
This hairstyle can be unlocked through the Bronze-tinged Sacks obtained in Eureka Orthos, the deep dungeon added to FF14 during Endwalker. It’s a rare drop, so it can be difficult to obtain this way.
Gyr Abanian Plait
Usable by all races except Hrothgar. Available for male and female characters.
This hairstyle can be obtained through the Silver-haloed Sacks you can get in Heaven-on-High, the deep dungeon added to the game in Stormblood. It’s not an assured drop, so it can be difficult to obtain this way.
Samsonian Locks
Usable by all races except Hrothgar. Available for male and female characters.
This hairstyle is also unlocked through a deep dungeon, this time the Palace of the Dead. If you’re lucky, you can get it from Bronze-trimmed Sacks and Accursed Hoard.
Form and Function
Usable by all races except Hrothgar. Available for male and female characters.
The Form and Function hairstyle is a random drop from Silver and Gold Happy Bunny boxes in The Forbidden Land, Eureka Pyros, one of the game’s field operations.
Wind Caller
Usable by all races except Hrothgar. Available for male and female characters.
This hairstyle can be bought from the Resistance Quartermaster (X: 14.2, Y: 29.6) in the Bozjan Southern Front. It costs 150 Bozjan Clusters, which can be acquired as random drops from mobs with "4th Legion" in their name found in the field operations Zadnor and the Bozja Southern Front.
Battle-ready Bobs / Scanning For Style
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
These two hairstyles can appear as part of the possible loot from the last boss of the raid based on Nier: Automata, The Tower of Paradigm’s Breach. They are two separate styles, and the first is based on 2B, while the second adapts 9S.
Both Ways
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
This hairstyle is a random drop from Zadnor Lockbox, acquired in the field operation Zadnor, added to the game in Shadowbringers.
The Bold and the Braid
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
This hairstyle requires players to complete the Aloalo variant dungeon a few times, as it costs 6 Aloalo Potsherds. It can be bought from Trisassant (X: 12.0, Y: 13.3) in Old Sharlayan.
Ambitious Ends
Usable by all races. Available for male and female characters (except female Hrothgar).
This hairstyle requires players to complete the Mount Rokkon variant dungeon a few times, as it costs 6 Rokkon Potsherds. It can be bought from Trisassant (X: 12.0, Y: 13.3) in Old Sharlayan.

Early To Rise

This hairstyle can be bought from the Resistance Supplier (X: 35.9, Y: 34.2) in Zadnor. It costs 5 Bozjan Gold Coins and 30 Bozjan Platinum Coins.
The Gold Coins can be acquired by entering Delubrum Reginae and delivering enigmatic Bozjan relics to Annes through the weekly quest “One Man's Relic”. Alternatively, the Resistance Supplier (X: 5.7, Y: 5.1) in Gangos can exchange 100 Bozjan Silver Coins for 3 Gold Coins.
The Bozjan Platinum Coins can be bought from the Resistance Supplier in Zadnor (35.9, 34.2) for 100 Bozjan Mythril Coins. The weekly quest “A Ruined Opportunity”, which requires you to clear “the Battle of Castrum Lacus Litore” and “the Dalriada”, as well as to deliver the ancient Bozjan raiments and ancient Bozjan armor to Merlzirn, will also reward you with Platinum Coins.
It Takes Two

This hairstyle was added to the game in Dawntrail, and can be acquired through treasure hunting. More specifically, it is a possible drop from the treasures found with the Timeworn Br'aaxskin Map.
